Could you grow cannabis clones back into the mother plant by planting around it and creating one?

Hi I have been coming to this site for answers for years but today I had my own question I couldn't find info on so I thought I would ask here. My question is; Can you grow clones back into the mother plant by planting around the mother? As the clones grew the plants wound eventually combine becoming essentially the same plant and it would have the same genetic make up and everything. You could just keep growing clones into the mother plant and creating a bigger and bigger plant. Wouldn't there be a very large yield because each clone would become its own but at the same time its also grown into the mother and it would all depend on the same root system. Would this be a successful or efficient way of growing? What could the downsides to this be?

I don't really understand this at all. Are you saying you want to grow a clone in the same pot the mother is in?

You could plant clone in same pot as mom ...but it will not combine into a new plant...will just be another plant growing in same pot...which is not a good thing to have more than one plant in a pot at the same time...you can do it ...but i dont see any benefit to mom or clone.

I don't quite get the point of cutting a piece off the plant and then trying to add it back in - there's no net gain in doing that.

He's saying if he put all the clone trimmings in the same pot they would become one massive plant with all separate root systems, therefore its impossible for it to become singular again... The only benefit of doing this would be easier transportation of the grow container... In the long run, One plant would most likely grow bigger and faster than all the rest... But if you have a big enough pot and spread them out, flower early then there shouldn't be a big problem..

Two cuttings one pot example(they was the same size when I first cut, about 2inches)

Well I don't think it's actually even possible.
I know what he is getting at - with many plants, if you have some growing close with the main stems right together, they will merge together as they grow. Even if it would work that way with MJ, you're just cutting the top off and adding it to the bottom. No net gain and you slow the plants overall growth.

Ok just took a phat rip so I'm on the level and no it might grow side by side and it might entangle themselves together but you can never make two plants one the way your talking about. Hehe. STONER.

The only way I could think of to combine plants is to graft them together... You'd be better off just leaving the clones to grow into their own full sized plant. Rather than trying to get several plants to try and be one plant.
