Couple questions on Auto's for you experienced ones

Hey All, new poster here, got a question for some of you experienced cats.

1. Can you clone autoflowering strains, or is that a waster as the clone would be on the same timing to start flower anyway?

2. Can you grow autos equally well in hydro? I keep reading about 5 gal soil pots, so just wondering?

3. Do most of you find that the faster veg-flower time makes auto's better for yield over the course of a year, or not versus photo-period strains?

I have an answer to #3 :Well the thing about autos is they are not affected by light periods, this makes it easier to grow several harvest a year, you can make a killing because you now have the option of not having your plants outside during the regular harvesting season when most law enforcement cracks down. They are smaller in size and so is the yield but this just makes it easier to hide ALOT of them! Even in your own yard; especially if you have a square foot garden with ALOT of cayennes...

Hide in Cayennes...that made me laugh, but it would prob work. I dont think I have the sack to do outdoor in the garden, neighbors, ect... Indoor is what Id be looking at

Nobody out there can answer questions 1 & 2?

I am on my first auto grow so I am no expert but i have researched allot about autos and almost every where says that any type of stress that they are put through will greatly reduce yield. Some even say not to transplant them due to stress but i have also seen successful grows when transplanted.

I have only run a few auto's through soil. No exp with cloning of hydro. Usually if noone answers, it means the questions have been asked/answered numerous times, just look back through past posts....I think you can clone an auto but by the time it regenerates roots its life is over.

I have also seen good results using hydro and soil all depends on the growing conditions but if grown in soil the bigger the pots the more they will yield. hope this helps and good luck with your grow

autos have a fixed life meaning say once it hits day 21 it weill automatically start to bud, cloning probably isnt the best thing for autos as they hav a fixed life. not to sure on hydro but i figure it would do as well if not better like some other plants. i have 2 double diesely ryders going right now 1 is at day 8 and the other just germed and put in soil. hope that helps with 1 and 2.

[h=2]Cloning autoflower cannabis[/h]The thing about autoflowering plants is that they flower by time and they cannot be fooled to stay in vegetative period by turning the lights on 13 + hours a day.
This means that these ruderalis plants know how old they are and they will start flowering two to tree weeks after sprouting no matter what life cycle they receive.
Because of this autoflowering trait these plants cannot be cloned effectively. For example is you manage to take a clone from this auto-flowering cannabis plant and you manage to plant it , it will flower exactly at the same time as it’s “mother”. So as you can see autoflowering plants can be cloned but there is no point of that because you cannot set it back to the vegetative growing period and it will automatically flower and produce a harvest at the same time as the “mother” plant.
In fact autoflowering cannabis plants that we can buy these days were engineered so that we don’t need to clone them.
So what can you do if you cannot clone this plant?
You can produce seeds from female plants by pollinating them from male plants and plant them in small pots and after 2 or 3 weeks , after they have shown sex, you can remove the males and it is more effective than cloning regular strains.

No way on Clones. Wont work
My first auto cycle was a aero system & the last 2 cycles in 5 Gallons…use mother nature with the auto girls brah

#2 Oy, id say autoflower and hydro goes well together! Im @ harvest right now, growing Sweet Seeds Big Devil's. About 70% of 1 plant down. I have not found any other autos looking as big as mine. Dunno if i can give the hydro credit for that, but i think so DWC for the win Damn i hate trimming..
