couple questions

so my second shot has some failures.

all of the creeper mycelium is green. kinda a light to pea grean. all 5 jars have all 4 spots growing except they are green.

the syringe i started with had some stuff floating in it. i dont remember if thats the way it came or not but i am suspecting that it got contaminated some how and it was dead to start with.

OR, maybe the creeper variety grows green? (first question)

has anyone else grown this stain? i think it is called keepers creeper.
i am pretty sure it is supposed to be white.

ok next question, i re cased my cakes. i placed them upside down on wet verm and placd back into the terrarium. been keeping it aired as much as possible and moist as much as possible.

should they be somewhere warmer? 73+degrees
should they get total darkness or some light like i am still fruiting.

how long can i expect them to show signs if pinning? 1 week,2?

i also took one of my uncomplete cakes and broke it up. i then placed it in one of those plastic fast food containers like you get if you order general goa chicken. i put wet vermiculite on top of that and spread it evenly. placed on cover loosely and wrapped in blanket and put in warm area. 75+

is this right? been about 5 days and no signs of advance.

i did read somewhere that a reason that mycelium will stop growing and not have contamination is from lack of water.

would it be safe to assume that a re-hydration of the mycelium would cause it too start growing again?

i know lots of questions. maybe i need to just go get a 1/2 z and check on them mushrooms when i finish the bag in a week.

any thoughts?????kiss-ass

green = bad, those cakes are trash. i've complain to a vendor once and got a replacement syringe. they might laugh at you and say "piss off".

73-75F is mostly ideal, 70F is perfect, 80F is to hot. casing can get light and fresh air from day 1, they'll fruit when they're ready. giving a casing some time to recolonize helps, only takes a few days. i case/spawn put stuff in the fruiting chamber, dark and moist for 2-4 days and then go to 18/6 under a cfl.

whatever you're "experimenting" with, put it in the fruiting chamber, you might be surprised. it looks like you've got the right concepts. experimenting is part of what makes growing fun.

i did some more research on it and see that i havent done anythin too too bad my casing technique need to be better but i dont see any contam yet.

certainly not like the five jars. pretty obvious after 4-5 days.

my other five jars havent shown any signs yet, certainly not anything green which i am taking as a better sign.

still hoping fir them to take off and the other cakes are still not showing anything.

i did all this on sunday and monday of this past week. today is thrsday.

need a little patience maybe?

ph and i dont think i will complain. only 15 dollars. no biggie. not like the 100+ for seeds or something.

i may mention it on the next order and see if they throw one at me, probably since i be buying one anyway.

although i do like you idea of cross spores. a little salad, or even experimentation. cool
