Cow poop compost vs FoxFarm Happy Frog potting soil

I’m doing a experiment between my own compost and Happy Frog potting soil. I collected my compost from last years hay ring location. It’s made up of hay/cow poop/pee mixed into the soil by the cows hoofs over the winter and left to compost and dry from March to October. I mixed in 25% perlite to 75% compost. I planted identical Green Crack Auto flowering seeds. From the very beginning I see a huge difference. I’ve never seen a seedling as big as the one growing in my compost. I might have to change the name from Green Crack to The Incredible Hulk. I’m growing indoors in a tent under LED lighting and leaving the light on 24 hours a day. Feel free to make suggestions or just comment. The first two pictures are of the plant in my own compost. I’ll add pictures of the foxfarm seedling on my next post.

Do you use any nutes during your grow with your compost or is it good the whole grow? I know or think molasses should still be used to feed the bacteria in the soil. I definitely don’t want to over feed.

I top feed comfrey, neem, malted corn , ewc , starting with preflower
I water in corn sst this makes the top feed disappear quick
That's it the rest is in the soil
No bottles of anything

-26 gal native soil: you want to get the topsoil from a forest if possible
-13 gal peat moss
-13 gal perlite
-5.5 cup Kelp meal
-5.5 cup Neem seed meal
-11.5 cup blood meal
-8 cup bone meal
-11.5 TB epsom salt

I’ll definitely save your list even though I don’t need that much per grow. Thanks and happy growing!
PS: Forest top soil is easy for me to gather. I have plenty of hard wood forest.

I’m not sure if it’s the strain (Green Crack auto flower by Big Bud) but the compost plants first branches are literally right at soil level. I’ve never had one do that. The smallest of the three plants is Northern Lights auto flower. All are fem seeds.

I’m going to start feeding the two in FF Happy Frog soil today. I highly doubt they will catch up to the compost plant.

Update! The compost plant was doing so good out running the Happy Frog plant by a long way. I didn’t think the compost plant would need food but the big fan leaves turned yellow and so did the Happy Frog plant. I trimmed them up and started food. I hope I can save them both. I have one Northern Lights auto in Happy Frog soil and it’s doing great! Like I said, it’s a learning experiment. Now, at least, I’m learning and if this grow is screwed, I’ll know what to do on the next one.

I’m not using any kind of meal right now. In this experiment between my homemade compost and Happy Frog, I was trying to see if I even needed food for the compost plant. Thank you and I’ll put what you suggested in my notebook. Peace out!
