Hey all, my plants are showing some kind of sickness and I don't have a clue what is could be, the leafs of one plant is starting to curl upwards and if I remember correct that means that they have too much of something, right? Anyways, check my aero/hydro thread out at the last page because it has only started to show like this since I did a res. change last tuesday.

Thanks in advance

Hey dutchy, are you using GH 3 part nutrients?

what is the PPM of your water that you are using.. before you add any nutrients.. what is the PPM... maybe your water is to hard from the tap and you will need to get a reverse osmosis filter....

You need to flush your reservoir and run just straight water for 24 hours... just adjust the pH...

please post some good pics in this thread...

If you are using GH 3 Part, I can give the perfect ratio mixture for that siolution...

In the mean time, if your ppm straight out of the tap is more than 200.. there is a good chance it is your water.. and you can go to the supermarket and get bottled water from a machine in 5 gallon jugs until you are able to purchase a reverse osmosis filter...

cheers

Hello and thanks for your reply!
Yes I am using GHE's 3 part, gonna check my ec when I change to water.

I was thinking about getting the biofilter from GHE but don't know if that will do the trick, maybe not the same as the osmosis filter??
Won't the filter clean out the nutes I have in the res.?
Would be happy if you could give me the perf. feeding schedule for me plants but I am around where I should be according to what GHE says on the bottle, so I think/hope that it is the water to blame.

When I changed to water now I checked and my ec was 0,0 had a little bit of the nutsoup I couldn't get out and it went up to 0,3ec.
Going to run it on this until tomorrow and hope for improvements. working on getting ph down and so far it's down to 6,3-6,2.

Ok, thanks guys great info thanks for replies!
Could anyone tell me what is actually wrong with my plants? Is it cal/mag deficiency or n-p-k problem? Salt buildup from when I changed my tank?
Garden Knowm, could you delete some of your PM's so I can send you one?

leaves curling up are sign of heat problem, didn't you told us in your other thread that you have a heat problem of 90 degree? if so that is probably the problem so i wouldn't look that hard into your nutes.

Hey all, yes waffel I did that, tell you that the heat was that high but the outside temps have changed now within the last week and so has the tent temp in...my tent.
I have this now which I got 1,5-2 weeks ago, just some spots on the leaves and so.
When you post in my thread or any other one for that matter. Remember to tell me what is wrong..I love the input of what to do but I'm not really sure why I'm doing it. Kind of like asking for solution on this site and not adding the photos..right? In the future I would like to tell the discolouration myself so I also feel as though I can contribute here in some way....in the future that is:mrgreen:
Take a look peeps and tell me what you see!

hmm..didn't think I could get mites in hydro )
But when I looked yesterday I couldn't see any web. but they are overwatered and I am thinking about removing some of what is not getting any light. A friend told me to cut the roots just where they come out of the plastic slabs and down to the tank. How would this be affecting the plants? They started their second week of flowering today, just topped the res up and got the ec to 1,3, ph haven't checked yet.

ive got my money on 2 a combo of things,,, 1 they are over watered, and 2 they need some cal/mag plus. the droop is from the water, but the rust colored spots are in need of some magnesium.

Great thanks guys, guess I have to order myself some cal/mag plus. Gonna take some time getting it though. Damn about the mites, gonna have to check again. Is cal/mag something I should use alone or can I pour it in with the nutesoup as an additive?

i use cal/mag mixed in with my nutes. if you need a quick fix you can mix in some gardening salt.
