Hey Guys,

On a little bit of a different topic does anyone know much about Crop King Seeds. Like where they get their genetics, where they breed (if they do) any info. anyone has on them other than they should be called Crap King Seeds?

They had a huge disaster starting in October where they sold their Candy Cane auto flowers but actually turned out not to be CC AF at all and were their new strain "Sour Jack" which appears to have caused huge issues obviously.

With so many other options out there I'm confused why anyone would gamble with crop king. Hell - I wouldnt devote any of my plant count to them even if they were free.

They do have fancy packaging though :s

Definitely Crap King, would like to be able to put a little more behind why to new people I talk to. Even the nurse at my "doctors" office mentioned them FFS!

I have heard them referred to as crap king and hermie king, for that reason alone I have avoided them despite their low cost and availability locally.

My buddy ran them once, he had no problems but said they were only decent so not worth the garden space when he has so many other options.

Crop king markets the crap out of their "brand", mediocre at best. Soooo many other good reliable choices out there, Try and get your beans directly from the breeder or get the breeder to suggest a retailer.

These guys have right on their packaging that they test thousands of seeds a month to check quality and viability. If you are testing that way how would you not notice that you have a hemaphrodite problem? The growers are noticing.

They sent me a package of Candy Cane AF last October. Won't be done flowering till mid-April and one plants is over 5.5ft... Strain was Sour Jack apparently but I wouldn't trust them, ever....

Another very experienced grower just recently had one of their original Skunk that did great until 2 weeks into flower and it hermie'd. Non of the other strains have issues, non are Crap King.

Edit: My last crop of hash plant from them had a 20% hermi rate... Would really be interested in WTF these clowns are doing, haha!

They can claim to test all the bullshit number of seeds they wanna claim. Who the fuck is gonna verify lol. Straight pollen chuckers, or stressing plants to hermie and use that pollen and not test their seeds. They totally seem like the seed version of a pump n dump.

I don't know much about them but someone said they get all there seeds from spain....What growers they buy from is anyone's guess if they don't say.
Do they actually grow anything themselves?

1 - Hermmie problems
2 - Came out of nowhere no rep fly by night
3 - I have heard of a few times people complained to them and they would always say "Oh we mixed that batch up"
4 - Might be selling hemp seed and calling it Cannabis

Have run 4 of their strains for a few years since they came out and have been quite pleased with the results. Germination rate is what they said, 80%, and the genetics appear similar to seeds from other banks. As everything has gone well I haven't had to use their customer service so no experience there. They seem to be available everywhere locally so they are easy to get. Other growers have recommended them and there are some journals on various sites that you can see for yourself.

I think many of the issues mentioned have more to do with the skills of the grower than the genetics. All my plants have been babied so I haven't ever run into many of the problems most do.

Ive heard of MANY accomplished growers having issues with Crap King. More negative info can be found about them then positive.

Yes I did sign up as a member to post in the LED lighting section. I have used seeds from many suppliers and generally have great results.

From what I have read so far in this subsection most posters appear to be hostile people that don't like anything. Probably just a bunch of drug dealers losing business and desperately trying to scare people off from doing their own thing.
