"Cultivation Cup" "Growers cup"

So I know there are enough Legal growers Here in Colorado to support this idea. I would like to fully organize an event including venue and prizes for a "Growers Cup". Only private growers can enter there will be several categories. Entrants must donate product amount to be determined and based on entries. All entries will be given a random Letter number identification. All growers entering will have to have a sample of product tested for quality and safety. All growers who enter will receive the sampler pack that contains all the other entrees no more than 28 entrees so there is no problem with giving an ounce to everyone made up of the one gram samples. The growers will then judge the buds based on the criteria for each category. In order to be involved there will have to be small fee, or sell a few no grower judge passes, associated with entry that will be used to cover cost and prizes that's to be decided by the founders of the group "the original 10". We could probably get swag from some hydro stores maybe donate some of the prizes well see how this rolls out. I know I have at least six guys that are on board. So if you think this may be worth your time. PM me we can start brain storming and collaborating on a real cup that reflects the quality of the product produced outside the for profit, greed driven, commercialized MMJ industry. We can do it with in the law, and grow the grass roots community base. But most of all we can have a good time with out selling out to the corporate BS that drives most of the industry. So if you have experience or ideas to contribute to this endeavor please contact me. Most of this should be done by pm to avoid copycats and maybe we can start something big. So lets get together and have a real competition with out cops and corporations ruining it.

I'm interested, but timing would matter, have another cup coming up very soon that is going to take any excess i may have.
This takes a while to get organized, plus most everyone will want warning before hand enough time to grow out their plants. Just my thoughts, but i am interested.

So your saying that since I grow for a dispensary and not at home I cant enter the competition? how would you even know where the product was grown..will you expect people to give up locations of their grow to enter? then on top of that your gonna try to get people to donate shit from an industry you are calling greed driven and corrupt? You sir are a tool and this needs to get shut down asap. considering it has been done time and time again Id say you are the copycat and not someone trying to steal your idea.

Platinum Girl Scout Cookies won already. I love the idea that growers-breeders-dispensaries compete to be the best. Is there room for another "cup" competition?

Maybe a Colorado Cup since there are so many growers here. I'd like to see a Cannabis Brewers Cup, a contest to see who can produce the best MJ infused beer, combining the best of both areas where this state has shown great leadership. Imagine a great beer with cannabis, sure that I am not the first person to think that this is an idea that needs to be worked out.

From what I've read lately, I'm pretty sure that mmj infused beer will be outlawed, along with any other infused alcoholic beverage. Sorry bro, just sayin. That doesn't mean home brewers won't give it a go though legal or not.

Yeah, saw the task force suggesting that it be outlawed, so the brewer should use the brand name Outlaw Brews and stock it in every liquor store that will carry it in the future when MJ is sold like alcohol. How about we actually do what we said we would do and regulate it like alcohol? Preaching to choir here while jacking this thread. BTW, I like the idea of more cup competitions, the more the merrier as it helps improve the state of the art.

It's about grassroots andy, the private grower. You already had your cup you could of entered in since you grow for a dispensary. Let the little people that actually support your industry have their go at it.

I also like the idea of a growers only type event.

Why not just meet up at either club 710 or the speakeasy one? That way it doesn't have to be all secret or shady and no one from the site has to host.....

The guy who runs 710 also runs his own cup...IDK how keen he would be to have someone else doing that there...but I could be wrong he might love the chance to get more business into his club.

I'm down to meet up and talk out the details in a cool location in the future. Pm me if your interested we can try to start this ball rolling. I've got some replies and we should probably set up a meeting in the live chat section in the next couple days or maybe some kind of group dialogue email list. We could all create an email address just for the "home grown cup" so we can start a think tank on how to get this accomplished I already have mine. So what I would propose to get started would be to exchange email addresses through private message so we can build an email group. I will start by replying to the people that have already contacted me. Oh yeah another cool category would be outdoor as I have seen some quality outdoor product it should be included in the fall cup. Do you think we can pull off a summer indoor homegrown cup. I'm thinking maybe to celebrate our countries independence from tyrannical drug laws on the 4th of July make an all day event BBQ prizes at night.

I went to Speak Easy 4 days ago and the skinny guy who managing it is a total douche bag snobby creature me and a friend got there paid to use the silver surfer and he told us to shut it off that his boss will get mad and to use his personal dab bong lol what a flop he's to poor to afford wax that he begs customers to use his shit for the left over wax residue that he can scrape later I won't be going back fuck speak easy.

Good enough for me lol... I had a good time at 710.. but Its all about who you're with imo.
