cureing colas

well ive just harvested my main cola now ive just thort to myself that its a fucken hot day today in sydney about 39 degrees celcius,would it be advised foe me to hang my cola outside to dry for a day????

will it affect the finished product???

If you dry too fast, it will taste leafy due to chlorophyll. Slower is better.

depends om the humidity. you can buy a humidity tester (hygrometer) fer pocket change at a pet store. it is advised to cure in a cool damp place well ventilated, like a basement or closet.

Its best to dry in a cool dark area for at least 3-4 days then dry some more. I trim then hang in a cool dark area till it feels dry to the touch. Then I put it in a brown paper bag for a day or two. Then to double plastic bags or jars. If it starts to get moist at all, I put it back in the brown bag for another day. Then back to the jars or plastic bags. Then keep a close eye on it so it does not get moist again. If it gets moist again the smell and taste is gone forever. If its good smoke it will still get you high but the taste and smell will be gone. Drying takes about 4-5 days when its hot and curing can take months. Depending on strain and the finished quality you want! You can usually smoke some after it feels dry to the touch but it wont burn the best till its dry. Good luck and enjoy!

No disrespect to redroach404 but I personally do not dry in a damp area because of the chance of mold. Cool and dark does it for me every time.

mmm. "damp" mehbeh not the best way to explain, just not too dry, er the buds will dry too quickly and end up tasting like hay. but yes,too damp will create a mold issue if not properly ventilated
