ok so I harvested my first baby... and built a dryer and my buds are now drying... my question is after my buds are dry should I still cure them in jars? if so at what time do I put them in... the buds are mostly dry (I have just gotten high off them... yea!!!) but still a bit tacky and the stems are not fully dry yet...

now would be the time. seal them in jars. open once a day for an hour or so. keep a close eye out for moisture. if they feel to wet leave the jar open a little longer. every time you open the jar the smell will be a little bit sweeter.

cool... so I went to look for jars and could not find any... punk ass stores! I found this air tight plastic jar used for storing dry goods... do you think this will work?.... the smell is great btw... kind of citric with a bit of pine.. I have been getting high off my own shit and it rocks... my other plant is going to be even better... I think this one was root bound or something else happend with it... or I fucked up and harvested it early by looking at the trechs wrong... but her sister is swelling up real nice and the trechs are starting to get cloudy... no less than a week now i figure

I do not like drinking beer out of a plastic bottle, I would not like my bud cured in a plastic jar either. Just my feeling.

I'd steer you away from plastic jars. Some varieties of food grade plastic produce a minute static charge, which tends to attract the resin glands, causing them to break off from your buds. Glass doesn't do this. Of course it's a miniscule amount of HC loss, but every little bit helps.
