Curing and no funky skunky smell

It just smells sort of blah... I'm making sure there isn't too much humidity or light and am giving it breathing breaks. Has anyone ever tried adding a piece of dried fruit or something to give the smoke an extra 'kick'? Or how do you obtain that ultimate piny or fruity taste and smell?? It smokes well.... Just doesn't smell anything like quality product even though it's beautiful and gets you extremely blitzed. It's a bubblegum strain too btw...

how long have you been curing?
The actual odour you get depends entirely on what strain you are growing, be patient and the smell should come

Im at the same point as you now, unsure of strain tho. And well it smokes ok but no smell in the jar, apart from a dank smell. There is no mould and im keeping it in cool dark place (just a thought is the fridge ok?) been curing for two weeks approx

it depends on how long you've been curing man, if youve had it in there for like a week your not gonna see a lot of difference yet, just give it a couple more weeks and try not to smoke it lol. you can sample it aly tho to see how it changes.
if it really turns out sucky then ya put like an orange or lemon rind (make sure it doesn't mold tho)
but if it gets too dry and it doesnt suck, take a moist piece of paper towel and leave it in there for a couple hours and it will be and most and sticky again.
try and be patient tho
i typed this up a while back maybe it'll help https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/329779-novice-trim-dry-cure-guide-2.html

For most cases you have to cure em for 3+ weeks. Then youll get most of your smell back.
But for the real reaking skunk/hash/pine smell, nutes, lights, and strain. This years Lavender and godsgift
never really lost there smell. The only diffrence from last year (witch iv always been having your problem till this year)
was i bought good seeds, and great nutes from our hydro spot. And i notice the more heavy trich production, the way more pungent
smell it releases. Like diamond said though, basiclly strain dependent. Try buying skunk or kush seeds if you want a reaking smell.

not to sound like a dick but in my experience it depends on how the plant was grown more than anything.

Plants that were burnt with too much nutes and/or never properly flushed before harvest can leave you with bud that smells like nitrogenous dirt.
