Curing for edibles

Hi everyone, I'm new to a lot of this and have experimented with growing and edibles. What I was wondering is if it's necessary to cure the buds if you’re going to extract with alcohol? I'm even wondering how much trimming would be necessary?

No need to cure if your doing an extraction..
Does curing increase the THC content? I thought it did. I cured mine then took to a lab to test THC percentages so I can properly dose. Do you know if I have my batch tested pre cure it will test same THC percentage as post cure?

No, it just cures it.. I dose my edibles at 1/2 gram each, not worried about percentages..

I don’t cure my edibles bud like I do my bud for smoking. I just dry it and then put it in a big plastic bag.
curing does help to break down chlorophyll but I’m not sure how much help that is.
