Shit, I have no idea what I'm even looking at on that page! lol I'm a chick with no real experience at building anything much, and don't have too many tools layin around- even though you listed very few. I like to think I'm pretty competent, but just don't see that happenin right now. Perhaps when and if I get a couple grows under my belt I'll check that avenue out, but as for now I better play it safe. Burn the damn house down lol
Thanks for the link, I checked it out but the vero29 is out of my budget right now, (frgn spent $100 on the one I have now thinking it was sufficient!) I could prob spend about another $100, I'll troll the internet for awhile and see what I come up with.Thought maybe I'd just get another one like I have, but then that would only be 300W. Damn.I thought a little 2x2x5 grow project would be FUN. (ok, it is kinds fun, it's just keeps snowballing lol)

you dotn have to buy a 400 watts fixture

buy a 200 watt fixture and later when you got more $ buy another 200 watt fixture

I understand... I dont have the money to change out all at one time either

just about to hang her for the first time

just finished assembly literally minutes ago

240 watts

highly efficient and I spent $340 at cob kits

I could have built it for less money but it would have been less efficient
Ouch!
So I'd need two of these for a 5X5?
Total = $680

I set that tent up with quality used gear from CraigsList for less than $100. It takes a while to save $580 on electricity when you're only pulling 100w less than before...

ya its not cheap for sure

but the 240 watts fixture will run at 200 watts and is taking the place of a 400 watt T5

so that's cutting my electrical usage in half in veg (18hrs)

then theres the heat reduction also

another thing
I need to replace the bulbs on the t5 $12 x 8 that $96 just to replace the bulbs

I'm running zero watts these days. Sunlight rocks!
But this morning I noticed that spider mites are getting the upper hand on two of my plants near a bunch of tomatoes.
I've got just the thing to nuke em... :fire:
