Cut up fruit in water

Hello RIU,

I was wondering what this would do, cut up some fresh fruits, some carbon and dead foilage in a water container, let it set for a few hours then water the plants with this fruit essences water if you may.

Any thoughts are appreciated

I wouldn't think soaking them in water would get out the nutes u want unless it soaked for a long time. And even then I doubt you would get em all. Shit like that needs to decay and be broken down before your plant could ever use em. Start a compost pile and use some of that in your soil (assuming you're using soil) after it has broken down for a while. That's gonna be the best way for your plants to use it. Hope this helps. i'd think it's increase your TDS almost instantly without really giving any benefit to the plants. Clean water with specific nutes, imho. The compost pile is a good idea though. i have one started, but i just mix in with my potting soil. Until i switch to DWC that is.
