I just built one. Kick ass light bar. I'm gonna add 3 more leds to make it 65 watts. 2 of those will take me through veg if needed (exceeds light from a 4 light T5).

Meanwell LPC-60-1400 driver. The xm-l2's have a forward voltage of about 3v at 1400 ma. So at 42v it can handle 13 chips no problem.

Is anyone else having issues talking to or getting order update from @welight after placing an order? I placed an order on the 2nd and still waiting for an update if its been shipped. Not answering inbox messages

yup

I ordered on the 5th(sinks and veros were back ordered)
Followed up on the 15th after no updates since order confirmation , got a prompt reply that they were waiting on sinks that should be in friday.
no news yet, waiting for friday

last time I ordered it was hard getting in touch with them though.

I guess they r just waiting on stock?

I didnt get a reply and had waited days finally just called them and asked WTF they apologized and parts should be in by friday.
It would of been nice to know that parts were on backorder in the first place. Far red leds

yeah true,

I''ve since thought about adding some of the bridglux hard strips but i know it will be too much hassle getting hold of them and might delay my order

140x70's wont work for you whacker? cobkits has 35 in stock. you'll just need to drill a hole for your cobs, no tap needed despite what everyone here seems to think

My guess is they didnt seal the dye well enough after anodizing. After you anodize you drop it into your dye solution then you drop it into a boiling solution to seal in the dye. Maybe it was not hot enough to seal it and the dye is bleaching out.

Just a guess but that is what I think.
@ichabod crane, Thank you. That info is much appreciated. Miss ya on the other site btw.

Definitely with you on that. It's a bit better here. Internet egos run amuck on canna forum sites. At least here the bullshit is mitigated somewhat by invaluable info. I have a few of the jewels you dropped copy n pasted in a note file.

Mean Well LPC60-1750

You can drive 3 to 10 XLM2s on that driver.
Sure about that? I'm driving 12 with no issues. Pulling 65 watts at the wall (2.5 of that is the timer) so they are running full current. I'm using a mix of the 5k and 6.5k leds with the reflectors. Plants in veg seem to love it.

The shape is to fit around a blurple light I have. This bar adds a nice white spectrum to the blurples. With all lights on it's something like 440w at the wall. Only a 3x3 tent so plenty of light.

According to Meanwells driver sheet that driver is rated for 59.5 watts. So yes I am sure that is what it will run safely according to Meanwell.

If you go to this link you can read what was stated above when I posted how many it would run. But if you want to click the link below that you can pull up the specifications for the mentioned driver and see what Meanwell says about the driver.

Yours may run but that does not mean it is safe and it does not mean that your set up is running to specs.

I'm running the -1400. Different driver. Within specs.
