Time for me to retire the reds, deep reds, blues and CXA3070s. The first tent has been mostly converted to CXB and averaging 55% efficiency. The first run turned out 1.35gpw in ~60 days, best numbers so far for me but should go higher when the CD bins go in @ 64%.

Kept the canopy below 80F and was happy with the flavor/frosting of every variety. A few of them took a few extra days to finish than they normally do but not a big issue I just put them to the side and moved the new batch in.

I dimmed during the first and last week, not to save power really but to smooth transition from 350 PPFD veg to 800 PPFD flower and to try and improve trichs at the end.

The first tent will have (32) CXB3590 3500K CD bin run at 700mA on (4) Mean Well HLG-185H-C700B, 23W each 736 dissipation W, 64% efficient.

Passive cooling variety of heatsinks, 10.08"X6", 8.46"X12", 4.9"X14", 4.23"X14".

Will veg up a 20 sq ft canopy but they are tall ladies so some of them will be used for side lighting so something along the lines of 24 sq ft of canopy, 880 PPFD.

I added a few 60 degree 44mm and 90 degree 50mm glass lenses to the flowering COBs that are on the edges of the canopy where there is a walkway rather than a reflective wall. It is nice to know that all the light from those COBs is reaching the canopy but not sure if the lens losses offset it or not.

The second tent will have a mix of CXB3070 3000K AD, CXB3590 3000K CB and CXB3590 3500K CD. Average efficiency 60.5%. Can't justify retiring the CXB3070s already LOL.

Other than that everything will be the same, 5 gal buckets, recycled organic soil and a wild canopy with lots of varieties being tested together. If I was set up where I could use rollers to move the pots I would go with big tubs instead of buckets, but currently testing a lot of varieties and using zipper doors so that will have to be a project for down the road.

Hey @SupraSPL.....welcome to the forum. you'll find a lot of knowledgeable people here to help you on your 1st day of running LEDs...

I suggest you have got the wrong LEDs selected and you want a commericial fixture that goes by the name of growblu. They are totally original in their ideas, are the most efficient and are imported direct from another country. You also need red and blue LEDs to grow anything....and white just doesn't have enough Lumens which is a measurement that plants use.

I like to give accurate information to newbyz...you are welcome. :)

PS....stay away from a guy called @PSUAGRO....he is a troll from way back... ;)

Bonjour
1.35gpw in soil it is a very good score, I am sure that you get more than the breeder prevision!
That is what I told REALSTYLE, now high yield are more around 1.5/2gpw (2 for hydro) with 2 time 1000w hpsDE efficiency you could have 2 times the yield, no!?
Bravo, again
Have a great day ★

Is beanho seed rare? Is it available for U.E? Where I can find it?
All those name are "exotic" for me, it is not the strains names I use to hear every day. And I am sure it is not the same taste...

Bonjour
Thanks for the advice! And it is only 5 € for shipping to my country...lots, lots of different m.j names I never heard.
Hours of fun...
But if I look for 12weeks haze hybrids in beanhoarder which one should I buy?
Have a great day ★

Hey!
Sorry for the questions in your thread supra!
I have a question for you: what kind of light you have before leds? And how many gpw you use to have before switch to leds?I believe it is a good question to ask to led/cob users, the difference between now and before.
Have a great day ★

Supra said just over a month ago :
Over a period of several years of monthly harvests, the best I ever got from a 600 HPS was 350g. Over the last year, the best I ever got from 600W of LED was 750g and the bud quality was much better. On top that COBs have improved a lot since then.

I recognize that people get much higher numbers with HPS than I did, but the point is they could improve GPW by 2X or more with COB. For those that live in hot climates with expensive electricity, that is great news.
