Definate Nute Problems.

I started a bagseed, an EasyRyder(ak47xLowryder#2), and a Critical Jack Autofem all right around 10/15/11. its now 11/04/11 (3 weeks into the grow) and i have not bought nutrients to feed the small ass plants yet.

please hellllppp me with some cheap nutrients, (i know i shouldnt grow if i dont have money for it) but I really am doing it for my own weed, and the knowledge for the next grow.

the problems im having are
1. stunted growth (pretty sure jsut cause its week 3 and theyre still only like 4-6 inches tall.
2. well general nute deficiency, but looks like it could be mainly nitro and phosphorus because of the stunted growth, and the oldest leaves are turning yellowy.
3. I think my 400 watt hps light was too close to the plants as well, i moved it up about a foot and a half yesterday, and they seem to have shot up since last night even.
4. i dont have the pH or temp readings either...

SO. anyone and everyone, if you could lend 2 cents, literally and metaphorically that would be deeply appreciated.
what priorities should there be? buy nutes first, then the pH and temp guages?

use a metal halide for this phase

GH Lucas formula 2 part Micro and Bloom... google it. Works out to like fifteen cents or something a gallon per ml usage. Many if not thousands use it with great success.

Is your HPS 6500k?

hps use high pressure sodium bulbs which are around 2200k
Mh is metal halide and use around 6500k
