Just defoliated all of my plants first time to do this. Let's see if it will help these little buds get 30% more yield I've ran this same setup in my very first grow let's see the differences. I defoliated the 4th week into flower.

Here is a pic right before defoliating see how many fan leaves there are! Also these are bent since they were growing into a 10 foot feeling one is right under my 10 foot ceeling this pic only represents one plant the main stalk at the bottom is 6 inches around

It's just an expirement, what can it hurt honestly. Plus you never until you try, so we will see if defoil works. I have 3600 watts on them as we speak so time will tell

I'm gonna show you an article of a 30+ year grower of a study done about defoliation and how it increases yields by 30% of indoor plants only. Honestly bro have you ever done defoil to your plants, because if not then your opinion to me is invalid.

Sounds like the whole grow is one big experiment. What do you have to base your findings off of? Do you have a control plant that you didn't defoliate? So no matter the out come, how can you claim any increase with out a control?

Dude, you don't want to start things off like this. especially when you're the one that will end up looking stupid in the end.

Then why mention it then...?
there is a nooby every week doing this shit, and I know of no 30yo grower that would agree with this ...er method!

Me too..! but whats making my head spin ..is your plant is in early bud

the plants finished with the veg side of things .. Yeah?

like growing up and being what it is....big and lush

and credit for you and your gear for that

but as you have now stripped her of her 'solar panels'

she is considerably stressed, along with the 12x12 lighting (assumed)

theres every good reason that this plant will herm on you

unless you put her back in 18/6 for 3-4 weeks

then resume 12x12 re starting the early bud again

maybe just maybe you will get your extra leaves

but at what price

at any time should you feel unwelcome here please return to 420 mag

as I lost the plot long ago with them amateurs

good luck with your future grows

I have done it 6+ times this year attempting to learn it! Lets just say i do not want to post pics. Defoliation is NOT a universal technique just as topping and super cropping is NOT a universal teqnique. Some strains and pheno's like it, some hate it. Just try to defoliate a heavy sativa after stretch, try day 22 then day 45, see what happens lol! Just an fyi, there is a FUCK LOAD of possible problems after defoliating during flower. Nute burn being the BEST case scenerio if something were to go wrong.

There is a reason why defoliation ONLY works indoors, if you've got side lighting and top lighting atleast at 55 watts per foot, defoliation isnt gonna do crap except completly stop the plants transpiration rate.

I just do research this is the only forum I am a member at. Here is a side by side comparison I don't strip fan leaves until week 3-4 of flowering after the stretch is done.

Here read this and let me know your opinion. I remember back in the day they use to say you would die if you went over 50 mph don't doubt things because you haven't tried it. That's how this world gets misguided I could easily day 2+3=8 and I swear people would believe it because they read it on the Internet. Trial and error my friend I will keep you guys posted on how much bud the final harvest is
