Dehumidifier Help...?

First off, I am very green to all this (he he he) so please forgive me. This question has prob been asked over n over, but... I am trying to tweak my environmnt to keep my girls happy throughout every stage of their lives. Long n short: I'm in Week 6 of flower and I bought a 70-pint dehu to keep my ranges in check (between 40% - 50%). It's all good while my lites r on, but when they shut off, my humidity can spike as high as 54%. I know it's not the most horrible of situations, but I was wondering if I should get another 70-pint dehu n run it on continuous as I do the other one or not. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, Thanks!

50-60% at night is fine if your temps stay above 70 degrees AND YOU DON"T HAVE A COLD SINK!! Like a cold wall or exposed cold pipes or cold window. You know something that will draw condensation.

nope, nothing that'll draw condensation. my 'nite' temps are in that neighborhood...maybe 68 or so. what about for my final weeks? do u personally cut the humidity to <40% ?

It would reduce chances for mildew and the like, to drop temperatures and humidity towards the end.
If you were growing in a sterile environment, you could follow VPD charts more closely for more optimal growth.
