You've already made enough personal attacks on peoples character that regardless of what you copy and paste now... your respect is in the toilet

Next time I highly suggest argueing the facts rather then consistently attacking others when the situation requires a fact filled response.

None of what you copy and paste sticks with me at this point because you quite often debate like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

So far youve attempted to insult all of us who dont happen to agree with you and the truth is buddy its only making you seem like ALL the things you have accused us of being in your previous posts.

I'm through here and hope to find some 'adults' to debate with...take care
ummm, since you have yet to refute anything i've said and all you do is ask for paperwork proving common sense observations about Clinton's role as president and executive, i don't know what to tell you. good luck, i guess. ??

ask for paperwork proving common sense observations about Clinton's role as president and executive,

I think the buzz word here is who's common sense? An opponent of clinton may have some biased "common sense", Still waiting for proof of your erroneous claim about the troop deaths under Clinton,~LOL~, not happening, eh?

as chief executive (of the LAW) he is responsible for.... the LAW and agencies which enforce it. common sense. a priori. etc.

do you just want me to post easily available facts to prove that i can use google??? i guess i'm wrong in assuming that you and the other guy can do the same. perhaps i am in err.

But to put the Iraq / Afghanistan war deaths in perspective, we can compare the number of military deaths during the "peacetime" Clinton administration [1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996 and another 3,198 active duty deaths during the second four year term (1997 - 2000; about 800 active duty deaths per year)]. The total military deaths for the eight years of the Clinton "peacetime" years was 7615. This fact is not identified to criticize the Clinton years as Commander-in Chief. In comparison, more military were killed in "peacetime" in first 5 years (5217 deaths) under the Clinton administration than have been killed in the five years of the Bush administration while at war (3964 deaths).

yes, thank goodness clinton was burning US citizens alive in their homes instead of dealing with that peaceful middle eastern group that blew a hole in the world trade center and killed all those sailors on the Cole.

i mean, just think how disastrous for humanity it would have been if he actually had a spine and dealt with the world around him/us.

.
Well, at least I know you aren't speaking of Lincoln. He had a spine, and he dealt with the world around him........................No disrespect intended. I just disagree with your sig, but, it gave me my great idea, (MM), so, thanks.

what about hitler? he is reported to have admired Lincoln's anti-state rights fetish. using guns and bombs to kill your citizens and force them to "agree" with you doesn't qualify as bravery or effective leadership, imo...

Yeah, but Hitler would have loved Truman, too, had they not been adversaries. Over 200,000 deaths in two explosions, how admirable. (I agree with this action, also, by the way.) Anyhow, that is mis-direction. "reported to have admired Lincoln" The fact of the matter is, Lincoln changed the world, not just this country, with his actions. For better or worse, his intentions, the results are unquestionable. Lifting blacks out of a centuries of despair, worldwide.

"What to the American slave is your Fourth of July? I answer, a day that reveals to him more than all the other days of the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim...To him your celebration is a sham...a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages. There is not a nation of the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of the United States."

Standing among crowds gathered in the nation's capital, Douglass felt himself to be "a man among men." As though to prick that bubble, government officials refused to allow Douglass or any other black to attend the evening reception in the White House. But when Douglass sent word of this refusal to the president, he was quickly ushered in to the ceremony. Lincoln personally greeted him with the words, "Here comes my friend Douglass."

"The life of the nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful, and virtuous."

Automobile accidents don't count. Show me the combat related deaths. 60,000 people die every year in car accidents, I'll bet if you factored those in to the bush figures you'd have twice as many as Clintons. This is just bullshit right wing drivel. I'm surprised you fell for it.

I'm getting sick of all the Bush hate here, people are so wound up with their own self-righteousness that they can't even distinguish actual faults with made up ones, I'm going to link a letter written by Jay Leno which pretty much sums up all the bullshit liberals mindlessly attacking President Bush.

"The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true, given the source, right?

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed, and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence, 2/3's of the citizenry just ain't happy and want a change.

So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ''What are we so unhappy about ?''

Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?

Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time, and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?

O r possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough.

Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and
provide services to help all, and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family and your belongings.

Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes , an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90 percent of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

Maybe that is what has 67 percent of you folks unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don't have , and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

I know, I know. What about the President who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The President who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same President who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11? The President that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?

The Commander-In Chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me? Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn't take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?

Think about it...are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.

Make no mistake about it. The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom. There is currently no draft in this country. They didn't have to go.

They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig.

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans? Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds, it leads; and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells , and when criticized, try to defend their actions by "justifying" them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about "how he didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way"...Insane!

Stop buying the negativism you are fed everyday by the media. Shut off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad.

We are among the most blessed people on Earth, and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.

"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

it's hard to really nail it down because clinton didn't declare many of his military operation areas to be "combat zones"... hence he did not have to pay them a combat wage nor did he have to record deaths there as combat deaths. we both know that a lot of soldiers died in kosovo for no reason at all.

i wasn't trying to make it a "score" situation, just an awareness that people died while serving under him.

re-read the letter.
Nothing wonderful there. The only thing Bush has done in his 7.4 Years is give millions to Africa for AIDS help. Other than that it's been all about the corporations. Even the millions he gave to Africa benefit the American Drug companies that sell the Africans the AIDS medicine. Bush is a total prick and an Idiot.

The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, Yeah, maybe so, but not for three or four + tours of duty with a 6 mo. turn around.
They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ''general'' discharge, an ''other than honorable'' discharge or, worst case scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge after a few days in the brig. All of which make your life harder in the civilian world.
Think about it...are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the "Media" told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day. I am upset because of the many reasons Bush has been the worst president in history. He started a unilateral war on a country that posed no imminent threat. He gave the richest 10% the largest tax break in the history of the country while running the mational debt into the stratosphere. He's allowed corporations to run ripshod over the workers and the environment, even given tax breaks to those that shipped jobs overseas. He's chipped away at our constitution and bill of rights, tapped our phones, monitored our internet and intercepted our mail. He used the justice system to interfere in elections and arrest those politicians that rejected his agenda. He politicized the entire federal justice system, outed a covert CIA agent and more than likely commited numerous acts of perjury and treason. yeah He is just the most wonderful guy, NOT!
BTW all that other feel good stuff has nothing to do with the Bush agenda, in fact a lot of it has gotten much worse since he's been pres.

That is just ignorant. You have no idea.
He started a unilateral war on a country that posed no imminent threat.

Not true, in the slightest.

He gave the richest 10% the largest tax break in the history of the country while running the mational debt into the stratosphere.

Did you get a tax break too? Yeah, thats right. Everyone got it, quit your bitching. And was the national debt at 0 when he got into office? It was doomed when he got in by your Clinton, but it he nevertheless tried to aid it-
FOXNews.com - Bush: Decisions This Year Will Determine the Future of the U.S. - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum
Priority Issues at Home
"Strengthening America's economic leadership is a key priority for the president, who noted that in the last two-and-a-half years, the United States has created 4.6 million new jobs.
"The American economy is pre-eminent, but we cannot afford to be complacent. In a dynamic world economy, we are seeing new competitors like China and India," Bush said. "We must continue to lead the world in human talent and creativity."
Bush laid out what he called "a better path" than "economic retreat," which includes making his tax cuts, which he says put $880 billion into taxpayers' hands, permanent; passing a budget that cuts discretionary spending; eliminating more than 140 programs that are not performing up to par and cutting down on special interest projects.
"By passing these reforms, we will save the American taxpayer another $14 billion next year, and stay on track to cut the deficit in half by 2009," the president said."

He's allowed corporations to run ripshod over the workers and the environment, even given tax breaks to those that shipped jobs overseas. He's chipped away at our constitution and bill of rights, tapped our phones, monitored our internet and intercepted our mail.

What, those tax breaks were offered to lure workers and corporations back to the states, and he placed the high tariff on steel to protect American jobs. I will admit I have my beef with the Patriot Act however I laughed when I read "our mail, our phones" are you a suspected terrorist? Only a few key suspects are being tracked, I know that you are freaked out because you fear that they will use that act as a guise to monitor you but just keep in mind, it was passed by a democratic controlled Congress, so you are to blame as well.

He used the justice system to interfere in elections and arrest those politicians that rejected his agenda.

Things have gotten alot worse since he's been pres...

Fuck you.

If it were any pussyass liberal in office during 9/11 then the terrorist would achieve what they wanted, fear. Lets say Clinton, he reduced the military's size and budget and that includes intelligence so I doubt he would have even known who did it, and what to do afterwards. You liberals weren't running your mouth off at Bush with his 90% approval rating when you needed strong leadership, but now with all the crybabies with Iraq, you call him every name in the book. You. Are. Scum.

:bigjoint:much obliged.

If you let liberals keep running their mouth off, they get bolder with more and more outrageous claims. Now they have the audacity to call him the worst president after he kept us from having another tragedy. Its ridiculous..how dare you.

For to long we have let them bash our president, I am saddened that people don't have the backbone to call liberals out.

This book says it all
Amazon.com: Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right: How One Side Lost Its Mind and the Other Lost Its Nerve: Bernard Goldberg: Books

Don't let them walk over you with their big words and biased point-of-view, most of what they say is bullshit, don't fear to call em out.

"Enough of lunatics like Rosie O'Donnell who think "Radical Christianity"—whatever that means—is "as big a threat to America as Radical Islam." Enough of the hyperbolic liberal rhetoric comparing Bush to Hitler and Abu Ghraib to a Saddam Hussein torture chamber. Enough of the liberal media, in particular the New York Times, which Goldberg claims doesn't publish "all the news that's fit to print" so much as "all the news that fits our ideology." And please, enough of the military-hating crazies who run San Francisco! ("Just what this country needs," Goldberg writes, "a city with Rice-A-Roni and a foreign policy."

"He's had it with hypocritical Republicans who say they're for small government but then spend our hard-earned tax money like Imelda Marcos in a shoe store. He's also had it with the weak and timid Republicans who won't stand up and fight against racial preferences, too afraid that the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons of the world will call them bigots. In plain English, he's had it with Republicans who are afraid to be conservative!"

Its a good book.

Hi, ZenMaster ...

I've seen the book. Its on my list to buy ... right after I read "Liberal Fascism; the secret history of the American Left from Mussolini to the politics of meaning." ~lol~

Amazon.com: Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning: Jonah Goldberg: Books

Here's a review from Publisher's Weekly:

Editorial Review

From Publishers Weekly
In this provocative and well-researched book, Goldberg probes modern liberalism's spooky origins in early 20th-century fascist politics. With chapter titles such as Adolf Hitler: Man of the Left and Brave New Village: Hillary Clinton and the Meaning of Liberal Fascism—Goldberg argues that fascism has always been a phenomenon of the left. This is Goldberg's first book, and he wisely curbs his wry National Review style. Goldberg's study of the conceptual overlap between fascism and ideas emanating from the environmental movement, Hollywood, the Democratic Party and what he calls other left-wing organs is shocking and hilarious. He lays low such lights of liberal history as Margaret Sanger, apparently a radical eugenicist, and JFK, whose cult of personality, according to Goldberg, reeks of fascist political theater. Much of this will be music to conservatives' ears, but other readers may be stopped cold by the parallels Goldberg draws between Nazi Germany and the New Deal. The book's tone suffers as it oscillates between revisionist historical analyses and the application of fascist themes to American popular culture; nonetheless, the controversial arc Goldberg draws from Mussolini to The Matrix is well-researched, seriously argued—and funny.
