Yea, they have pros and cons. I certainly intend to take many strains that far over time, I also though don't want to degrade diversity, or mistakenly or unintentionally bred out unknown trait, or breed out the resilency. Also I do believe part of my job as a breeder is to make sure a wide range of people can find a keeper they like outta my packs, and not everyone has same preferences. At f8, either you love it or don't lol. High after rambling, hope that made sense!
I feel you for sure. I do love the diversity found in an F1 cross, but I also believe in using stabilized lines as breeding tools when possible. Sometimes this isnt an option. But I believe it's something to strive for

Progress is go8jg slow on getting the compost back here and spread. So much rain and mud makes the process slow and difficult. The compost is in the front my 5 acres, and has to go to the bacK.

Introducing, the latest strain from #dragonsflamegenetics "Dragons brew"
#dragonsbrew
Blackberry moonshine which is an accidental creation of magic when a blackberry jabbas ( t@wo_dog_seeds )was pollinated by a miss sexed prime moonshine (@bigworm_6969) male. I've had the privilege to do a large scale pheno hunt and have selected some very special females.

There are 3 phenos of the #blackberrymoonshine which are:

Red buds, red hairs which usually occurs on a red stem. Blackberry muffin or blackberry pancake smell and taste, with extreme mold resistance. Potent indy smoke with top shelf bag appeal, taste, and a growers dream.

Red buds, white hairs occurs on red and green stems (both phenos represented in pollination) with a loud tangerine fuel smell. This one is also very photogenic, and great bag appeal. This tangerine fuel terp is louder then the red hair pheno. This pheno yields slightly less the red pheno.

Green bud white hair green stem. This pheno has the most functional high, best frost, but least bag appeal. Tangerine fuel terp profile. 2 weeks slower flower time.
The male is my banging blues male, (dfg hard dick blues x f9 bangi haze male) which has been outside for 5 or 6 weeks, been snowed on twice, seen 5 days of sun and the extensive wind and rain storms. He's showed extreme vigor in adverse conditions, and total resistance to mildew and fungus. Has nice purple male clusters and reeks of blueberry incense and hints of lemon in back,
The male and clones of the best females have been put together for pollination. Make the ganja gods smile on this union and make many high qual8ty offspring.

Banging blues male which I'll use to father the next inbreeding generation as well as f1 some new crosses
. He's been outside 6 weeks no greenhouse, been snowed on several times, been frozen from frost atleast a dozen times, but still chugging right along. Smells strongly of blueberry funk.

Rks pheno 9 dfg selected outta motarebel / blackbart/ hazemans 35 year old mass afghani line. I overwater ed this gal by mistake, which has muffled her smell a bit, but she is one the stankest girls in the stsble. When done right she had the skunk spray eye water smell, when fubared like this it's gone oil rag acrid eye watering. Her clones in flower behind her are in much better health and should provide some epic smoke. Have a skunky male from this line to make more stock, as well as create new f1 hybrids.

Hazemans breeder cut of loompa headband x purple urkle. The stock of this (made by loompa) was a one off done many many years ago and only given out to motarebel and hazeman which hazeman pheno hunted out, and was kind enough to give me a cut of. This cut has been held for over a decade, and one wiff is easy to see why. LOUD berry gas. Gets chunky last week's. This was a small clone I threw into the side the 200 gallon pot for my headstash. In love with her, that's for sure.
