Welcome Brother Johnnycannaseed1. :hump:
Hey Dawg thanks for the welcome aboard... That is a clinical mad nice setup you got going on over at yours:clap:

Any predictions on whose going to win in terms of yield and quality between the 80 and 90 CRI?

Personally right now things look kinda even but I predict by the end of flowering the 90 will edge it to come through and shine for the win, so my monies on the 90's on both counts...

Sure will be exciting to see how your grow pans, out so sign me up until the end of your grow:peace:

The Citizen 90 cri, at least in 3500k, performs extremely well but quality COBs and boards put out so much light in full spectrums that they just overpower minor spectrum differences. 3000k to 4000k 70cri to 90+cri will all do a great job. 4000k seems to start to give up a bit in bud size and density for me.

Remember hps was 2000k 22cri with a piss poor spectrum and did quite well just by throwing a lot of photons around.

I Agree With You Whole Heartily Brother hillbill. Its The Grower Not The Light That Makes The Difference. You Can Have The Shittest Light With Great Growing Skills And Kick The Shit Of A Grower with Lesser Skills And The Best Light On The Market. However I'm See Some Real Positives To the 90 Cri In The Cobs And Imho The Jump To 90 Cri Is Well Worth The Trade Off Photons As Cobs Already Put Out A Metric Ton Of Them. now I May Be Singing A Different Song Come Harvest but I'm loving What I'm Seeing In Veg :hump:

Looking Like The 90 CRI Is Going To Be A Winner :hump:

In most cases the COBs with 90 cri will really have plenty of blue output. Just think the tiny amount of blue added to HPS that gets the bulb called "enhanced" or "full spectrum". What makes the 90 cri so good is the shift of the spectrum to somewhat more output in the deeper reds. Adequate output is maintained at the blue end leading to a Win Win.

We Been Chasing This CRI Thing Since The T-12 Days. I Fought Switching Over To 90 Cri And The Reason I Did A Side By Side Is Because @robincnn Sent Me 4 1812's 90 Cri To Test Along Side My 1812's 80 Cri. The Pictures Below Will Tell The Story :hump:Peace And I Want A Woman That Has Sweet Loving Better Than A White Line :bigjoint:

This One's For @Rahz :D

90 Cri Check Out Dat Trunk On Dem Clones :weed:

What a difference! I'm leaning towards 90 cri myself. Those are gonna be beefy Dawg!
I Agree. I'm Really Liking How The 90 Cri Stretch's My Node's. Anyway We Will See In About 10 Weeks. Usually These Advance Female Seeds Blueberry Twist Finish Up In 8 Weeks However I'm Running A 14/10 Light Schedule Which In My Research Add Another 7-14 Days To Flowering Time :hump:

Is it just stretch or more growth? Would be interested to know how many leaves / branch there are on the longest branches from each side... Also leaf size would be nice to compare, take a few of the largest fan leaves from each side and shoot them side by side...

Stretch = Growth When Managed In The Right Manner. The Reason I Made This Statement Is My Stretch Isn't Over The Top Making My Branches Weaker From Over Stretch Which In My Experience In The Past With Cri Any Thing Over 80 Would Cause This. My Measurements Show That My 90 Cri Lamp Has Stretch 3/4 Of An In More Per Week Than The 80 Cri This In Turns Gives Better Growth Which Allows More Light To The Lower Branches Without Weaking The Whole Plant :hump:

How would these 1212's do @ 1750ma? Im debating between these, 1818's @1050ma or vero29. I haven't seen anyone running these at that current yet though. Looks great dude!

That's Because The 1400mA Driver Is A Better Fit For The 1212. I Also Favor The 1400mA Driver For The 1818's I.E. HLG-320-1400mA Would Rock 4 1818's. :hump:

Damn those 1818's would put out some major photons at 1400ma. Those 320 drivers are just pricey though thats why I wanted to go with 185's or 240's. Ill have to check into that build though.
