Hi ive got a plant that looks sickly and I need some input.

Its in the same resevoir as my other plants and this is a pic of the one right next to it...

This is the only healthy looking one. All the rest look kind of droopy.

The PH gets to 7+ sometimes but I usually have it around 5.5-6.5. Im using 2x 175W MHs that stay really cool so I know its not heat. Also these are about 10 day old clones in 1/2 strength nutes. I looked up the symptoms and the one looks like zinc deficiency....but you would think it would affect all the plants since they all are in the same resevoir, right? Anyone have plants in the same res have different deficiencies? Any ideas to fix it?

what kinda setup ya got? i had a bubbler that had some plants that kinda looked like that. it turned out to be not enough airstones. well not really not enough so much as bad placement. i didnt have good airflow at the ends of my tub. i had 2 plants on each end that all had that wilty overwatered look. i moved the stones alil and by the next day everything was peachy.

Its DWC and I have 2 double air pumps each running long airstones. Ill try and cut new holes and move them because they arent really positioned that well.

Are the roots white? Get a pic of the roots.

No the roots look nice and white/ no brown or slime on them. Actually the sickly one has the most roots sticking out while most of the others arent even showing any yet. Maybe thats the problem, maybe Im drowning them.... should I raise it up?

What do you mean? You sayin Im going use too much? Do you know when I should switch to full strength nutes? My tds/ph meter is in the mail and Im going to build a bigger and better resevoir (with a drain this time...wet pants are no good) and I wanted to start them in that at full strength.

thats what not haveing enough/well placed airstones will get ya.
and yes your on the edge of overfeeding. slowup alil bit on the nutes. if they are clones with bearly any roots they dont need nutes at all. hold off untill they all have a few roots atleast 1" to 2". should be just a few days if everything else is setup right. then just give them baby steps. go up something like 100ppm per day untill you see them go a really dark shade of green then back off about 100ppm. you should have your meter by then and be able to tell more about your nute level. hydro without a ppm meter is not a good idea. it can be done but its a huge pain.

last but not least hit the FAQs mogie worked her lil arse off on them. theres a ton of good info in there. youll learn alot and be sure to tell mogie thanx. good luck
