diffusers

so i just got back from wal mart with my $10 grow light to get sprouts started. Its a 24" floro tube with a casing around the light called a diffuser. Im wondering if i shuld leave it on or take it off?

I'd take it off dude and as soon as they have sprouted get the lights real close.

A diffuser won't hurt sprouts. Just keep it close.

should i leave the diffuser on for all of the veg stage?

No but while they are sprout it won't hurt.
