Dinafem OG Kush

I got tired of disappointing strains so I decided to get something reliably potent and tasty. Dinafem's version looked like the best to me, fastest ripening and least stretch. Local store had them in stock at a reasonable $40 for 5 so DEAL. All 5 sprouted within 48 hours. Good packaging too, metal canister with poly vial inside with drying beads and foam to keep them from banging around. Best seed packages I've seen actually. Anyway all went well. Good thing nobody else bought those seeds, the only OG they had. Somebody snatched up the GG #1 I had my eye on.

To see what the strain looks like, watch this video from 0:30.

OGK is one of those strains I think of as clone only .....but I'm in Cali and have an awesome connect on cuts with great genetics....I grow it every year for the people I grow for ....cancer patients and disabled

I just shared this pic 5 minutes ago because it's a friends birthday and I'm giving him some of my long cured reserve lol........it's OGK obviously ((very nice)) from clone thoughimage.jpg

I'd like to hear anyone's feedback who has grown OG cuts as well as seeds .........GL with your grow btw

I received some Dinafem OG beans as some freebies and passed them on to a friend who grew them out . He loves them and his favorite plant to make seeds with. He is a heavy long time smoker and gave those a big thumbs up.

From the 5 seeds I'm down to 3 growing seedlings, should be enough. A couple didn't pull through. From what I could find, it appears that Dina's OG Kush is Fire OG crossed with Emerald Diesel and backcrossed to the Fire OG. I can believe it because it does look very similar to Fire OG pics I've seen. Since Fire OG is said to be the most potent of the OGs I'm happy with that lineage.

Also I've never seen a bad review of Dina OG Kush. Some people said it doesn't taste like a real OG but personally I don't care if it's like another earlier OG or not. I would have bought the seeds even if it had said plainly what it was. It's mostly different OGs crossed together, with a slight amount of Diesel added. I can live with a little Diesel in my OG. If my plants turn out similar to the seed plants shown in the video, and are as potent as they look, I'll be a satisfied customer regardless what it's called.

Fire OG grows real tall and stretchy, prepare for a good amount of stretch during flowering.

I guess that story was wrong then, because everybody says this one has very little stretch. Actually I found that it's a strain called Emerald OG which is Fire OG/Emerald Diesel Bx Fire OG. Not sure What Dinafem's actually is but it got good reviews and I saw 2 different YT vids of reviews and they showed the packaging, said Dinafem OG, and both were 23 something % THC, so that seems to be typical for the strain.

There is several phenos in dina' s OGK. There's a short pheno that is super heady. I had a 5 pack last year. And got 2 short phenos. Identical. Ended up being mother. And then 1 didn't make ot. And 2 tall ones that stretched for weeks. And was an under average yield. But was my head stash as it was perfect cross of indica and sativa. Good luck. The short phenos were super heavy feeders. Not so much on the others.

So it's not that consistent then. Hopefully I'll find a usable one out of the three. May turn out only to be good as head stash, like yours, rather than a producer. Looked like a strain worth trying anyway, from positive reviews and videos.

I rhink dinafem is one of that companies that always Deliver, nothing flashy or hyped, but I never read anything bad about them..
At least they show you the actual seed grow room, and what the mother plants look like. The seeds looked the same too, pale color and fairly large.

Dinafem og Kush was gorgeous smoke had a strong liquorice taste very nice
Thanks for posting. Yup, that's the Dinafem OG look, all frosted up. Did it seem superpotent to you or just kind of normal? Would you say holy shit, that's the most potent weed I ever smoked? Or would you just say yeah that's pretty good weed?

BTW here's a pic showing how stretchy mine is. See those little buds at bottom left? Well that's the tops of some Chrystal plants, a strain which was itself stretchy. OG vastly outstretched it. It was from seed though, so maybe that's why. Took about 5 weeks flowering just to see a few pistils, that's 6 weeks in the pic. So apparently it was still growing vegetatively for the first few weeks of flowering.

Let this be a lesson to never flower plants from seed, just clones from it. Take for fucking ever to flower. I can't leave it in there for several weeks longer than the Chrystal either so I'll have to take it unripe. It was basically just to see what the buds were like anyway, so I'll know which plant to use as a clone mother. Another one on the other end was not quite as stretchy. You can see how far behind on flowering it is to the Chrystal, like nothing practically. Very vigorous and healthy growth though. Mixture of HPS and LED. Had to clip off several leaves because it was super leafy. I did have them under 13.5 hour days for the first several weeks so maybe that's why. I have now gone back to 12/12. Was taking too long to ripen and getting too leafy. They're seriously monster plants.

I purposely crinkled the mylar up to avoid burning from hot spots. Also avoids reflecting your face in pics. The circ fan is that PC fan hanging from a hook.

Great, thanks for replying. That's what I was hoping to hear. How long did you flower it? A lot of people will take a plant at like 6-8 weeks and then wonder why they got low yields. Me? Ten weeks all strains. Doesn't matter about trich color. That can be genetic. You just run em all for 10 weeks regardless because there's really not much bud weight before that. Even 9 is not long enough. Anyway, from your reply, this stuff is gon be sweet. I finally scored a strain that isn't shit, like 99% of the seeds being sold today in my experience.

That was a fairly long flower period then, 9 weeks. I wonder why the low yield. Hope mine yields better, at least one of them, I have 3 plants. Thanks for the tip on the Skywalker, will look into that if the Dinafem doesn't produce well enough.

I disagree with much that you post but I have to correct this one before someone copies it.

Mylar only works well if perfectly smooth. The wrinkles are what gives it hot spots.

Even aluminum foil would work well if it could be kept smooth.

So I guess diamond mylar is a total fraud. They say it's the most reflective but in reality all a big scam. But no we wouldn't want anyone to copy my practices. They'd be up to their ears in weed, can't have that. But by all means do show us the references to support your statement. I'm sure a study was done comparing crinkled mylar to smooth.

Any quick search will show you are supposed to hang Mylar as smooth as possible.

When the company claims 95% reflectivity you think they just threw it up on the wall without care?

Cmon' man.

Diamond material is also supposed to be wrinkle free. So the pattern they engineered can work.

Pretty sure you are in no danger of anyone copying your practices.

All of the stuff you are writing about has been studied at the industry and university levels.

And you keep posting contrary information.
