Dinafem Original Amnesia and Critical Cheese Autos

Hey Hey, I don't normally use this forum, but I found you accidentally on a search.

I'm growing Critical Cheese Auto, because I got them free too, and they are at day 36 currently. Bit smaller than yours, but all going well (it is my first grow, so there have been some problems - I had no nutrients and only garden soil to start. Had some very bad deficiency about 10 days ago, but it seems to have cleared up now, and the bud formation is going nice.

It doesn't seem to let me post pics on here, but if you have a look on 420 grow reports, you can see some there under the same name as I am using here (sorry Admin if that is not allowed?

Nice to see someone else growing the same! I hadn't seen any until now.

xx

Not exactly sure how far along they are in this picture as it is a few days old, but im guessing somewhere around 56 days from seed. The critical cheese(left) is much thicker, sweeter smelling and by far more resin production.. very beautiful and easy to grow.
The Original Amnesia has been a bit fussy. She does not like much water and if you give her equal amounts of water as the others, she droops. Her main cola is by far thicker and more developed then her other buds.. but she is supposed to take fairly close to 100 days and has a strong sativa influence to her so im not very worried yet.
I have the Critical Kush moved out of this photo as she was in her night room :)
Their leaves have been yellowing up, i have been quite easy on the nutes but their last feeding they got a touch more zinc and N as there was a few leaves that were browning at the tips as well as yellowing.
The Original Amnesia shows no real signs of turning colour from temp drops at night, she does get a touch of purple on the tips of her leaves but thats it. The Critical Cheese shows lots more colours, resin, she smells better and looks to be the better grower thus far; definitely much easier to grow.

She is 65 days now and she is getting closer but I am gonna say at least another 14-21 days for the Critical Cheese. I will stop being lazy and post some new pics soon.
You might also like to know that she puts out some nice reddish/purple colours in mid-late flower.
I will post exact harvest time, seed - cut down and then smoke reports in here as well.

Jwreck, I've only got one as well and she is very branchy, very frosty and smells extremely sweet. It does take longer then they said but that is definitely expected, I think it will turn out to be some tasty smoke and should have some decent potency.

Thank you very much redbud12! I was worried about the Original Amnesia for a while as I found her to be quite picky with certain things. I also didn't like that she wasnt filling in very much for the first month + of flowering but she kicked into high gear lately and has put on some weight to catch up. I have been enjoying working with these autos and would definitely say the Critical Cheese has been one of the easier plants to grow.

Glad to hear that man, I recently picked up some Critical+2.0 autoflowering. I'm going to start that my next grow. I just started a Purple Kush auto from Buddha Seeds. Anyway man great plants and way to be a great grower.:peace::bigjoint:

Cut down the Critical Cheese at day 75 from seed. This is a shot of the trichs a day before I cut her down; the smell was very sweet blueberry at first and then turns into a sour wildberry type of smell. Very full, dense buds and every single bud filled out and was hung to dry. I did not take a wet weight but I will post dry weight before I put them into jars :)
The Original Amnesia will need at least another 5-10 days, probably closer to 10 to let there be some amber in her. I will get more details as well as reports and some harvest pics when available :)

Thank you redbud12 :)
I picked up a 500x microscope off ebay for a good price, it can be difficult to focus sometimes as it is a dial zoom and twisting it can make you lose spot of where you were trying to zoom in. I still check with my handheld 60x loupe but this is a lot easier on the eyes.
She should be ready for a final trim sometime this evening and then I will put her into jars likely tomorrow. There was not an excessive amount to trim off so I wont be making any oil from just her, it will have to be a blend of all the trimmings and popcorn buds from the Critical Kush and Original Amnesia. Looks like the OA will be ready to come down this weekend; she had lots of very small calyxes but theyve been swelling up quite a bit lately. I am starting to get excited as now it is the home stretch for this run and all has gone well so far. I can say one area I will be able to improve on with the next auto run is how much N they like all the way through. I started to ease off the N mid flower and they immediately asked for more their next feed. I missed a feeding for the OA due to the crazy storms here killing the power and so I thought I should not feed much that following week.. She yellowed up like crazy so I gave her a strong final feed.
These autos filled up the bud sites very nicely, and depending how the smoke turns out, I can definitely see myself tossing in some autos between my photos harvests. Seeing how well the autos have done, I feel a lot more comfortable running some of Dinafems reg seeds I've got stored away.

Couple shots of the Original Amnesia, these were taken bout half week before harvest if i remember correctly. She will definitely yield more then the Critical Cheese. The CC came in a little over 2 ounces by the time i got her dried the way i like. I will guess the OA is about 3.5 ounces.

The Critical Cheese has such an incredibly appetizing smell and taste. She is great day time smoke, keeps me very clear minded and definitely helps keep the anxiety down. I would not say her high makes you want to eat, but you will not stop eating once you do lol. Very, very smooth and easy smoke, not very expansive at all though. After a bit of time curing, her hairs of have gotten a nice red tint to them, mixed with the purple-ish hues she has and you have one beautiful lady!!
However, her high is not overly long lasting, after about an hour i feel the anxiety starting to creep back on so i need to smoke again.
Looks - 9
Smell - 9
Taste - 9
Potency 8
Yield - 6.5

Absolutely in no way was this the worst smoke i have had. In fact, I have her ranked higher than a few photos i have ran. Her yield was fair, below average for the time she took compared to my photos. Only having run one seed as a freebie, I would have to say it is very possible for there to be better phenos in this strain.
With all of that being said, I would not run the Critical Cheese auto again. I have way to many strains that I need to try, however I would highly recommend this strain to new growers due to the fact that it is extremely easy to grow.
Also, I should note that the Critical Cheese has only been curing for 10 days.

I have the Original Amnesia drying out now(day 2), should be ready for jars in a few more days. I will make sure to come back and report on her :)

how did the O.A. turn out? I have some going right now and am looking for any info you are willing to share as I want to be smoking some by the 4th of july, they have been above ground since 23rd Feb. 2014 and are showing signs of flower with the first sets of bud sites coming in daily almost. I would like to know what type of smoke and how you rate it. Again any info would be great
