Any garden bed plans or dimensions.

I always make mine 4'x what ever x 10-12", taller if you have back issues, put tall plants in the back short plants in the front , orient East and West. Top soil , top dress with compost, mulch like crazy. Drip irrigation is nice , 1-2 hours, 1 hour before sun rise, rain water is great, sprinklers suck because they waste alot of water.

Ok my bad.
I haven't grown outdoors in a few years.

But when I did, I always prepared my spots in the fall with lots of organic materials and by spring it was ready to go.

So your list of materials is ok but ratios are a little off . Leave out one bag of ewc , add a cup of d-lime, a cup of ammoiniom sulfate.

Also, check the outdoor grow section in forums, I think this area is for veggies and stuff.
Good luck.

Wheat straw is good, but hay will have unwanted seed. And stay away from the colored shit and most bag wood chips are just ground up debris and can contain bad stuff.

Nix the perlite from ur recipe. Its not necessary. Otherwise everything seems ok. I like the raised bed idea.

Hey that looks great , your off to a good start. Be sure to mulch for moisture and weed control.
Can woodchips be used as mulch. Or just use hay or normal mulch.

agreed. Bump
Should I amend the native soil at all. Maybe some dolo lime or some flower fertilizer??

Wood chips are ok for mulch but don't mix them in the soil bc they will lock up the nitrogen . Don't use colored wood chips, don't use baged wood chips bc they were probably made from debris that might be toxic. Only use wood chips that you know the origin of.

Don't use hay, bc of seed contamination.

Wheat straw is good, it looks like hay, but has no seed contamination.

Leaves are good, but once again don't mix them in bc they also will lock up nitrogen.

Not sure what you would describe as normal mulch.

Landscape cloth is a good idea between the soil and mulch.
