OK... my box is small... like 5 cubic ft small... even in a tiny box like that, where I'm doing a full exchange of air multiple times per minute, is any additional co2 staying in the box? Are you guys running closed rooms with A/C and a couple of soda bottles on the floor? I'm not sure I understand how this would ever work outside of a sealed room. In a sealed room, it seems like a few of these could actually do the trick, but as rapid as you have to exchange air on a vented box/room how on earth could this work? I'd love to believe it could, but logic tells me no if 5 times every minute I'm replacing all the air in my box. Has anyone done a side-by-side/samsie-samsie on this?

Now that being said, I flower my males in my main flower cabinet with the ladies. To avoid him knockin' up the ladies, I seal him up in a plastic container with a small fan and filters on intake and exhaust to get him fresh air. using a little co2 gen like this would probably be awesome for that, and would allow me to go without a fan and the little valve you guys use would work to filter pollen from the exhaust. But as a CO2 system for a vented room, or even a tiny cabinet like mine, sounds hard for me to believe!

Not trying to be a dick here but when the one guy did the math on this he wasn't taking into account air exchange, nor was the guy who set it up in his bathroom with the ppm meter...

I run an open system but with my Co2 generators I use I stick hoses into the back of my fan and blow it over the ladies as the air is exchanged. I'm planning a no in no out grow room next time around. Sealing everything up and using air cooled hoods with air from outside passing through the hoods straight back outside the room. This system works with what I have worked it out to be. Not trying to be a dick here but when I did the math it was hypothetical on account of the bathroom ppm test. It was simply signifying the output of 1 bottle as opposed to someone reading wrong from a post and trying to place his own thesis on it.

Right now I am using 4 2-liter co2 makers in a 4x6 vented room. I have been browsing this thread for a while, I read an estimate of +300 ppm for just one jug. Any thoughts if I might be overdoing it with 4 jugs? The room is in a basement with water heater and furnace, so already the co2 levels should be a bit higher than usual.

Too much C02 can stifle ur plant's growth.. I'd say ur best plan of attack is to remove 1 or 2 bottles and see if ur plant's growth improves or declines.. Add or subtract bottles accordingly after that..

DO NOT OVER KILL WITH CO2 ,will stop plant from grown in short , not good like ninja says keep to optimal level 1500ppm
. in 4x4 room 2 bottles switching out 1 weekly sounds like best idea .I am now using 1,2 ltr bottle (thanks to ninjas great post ) in a smaller room for 1 plant it its working sweet!!!!
you may find older post here somwhere about co 2 volume and figuring it out but you got it !
For a larger room say 9 x 7 I have used the basic design shown earlier but inserted fish tank tubing and used the elbows and T's you get from an aquarium store to connect 6 together and then connect the tubing at the top of the plant the combined pressure from the bottles running into the tubing with T connectors at each plant allows for you to have the Co2 drop equally down on all your plants. I figured with a larger room using the tubing and multiple bottles I could create a more even dispersion and it seems to work much better with a dispersal point positioned right at each plant when I tried this method with just 3 bottles as originally shown I did see improvement then I thought of rigging each plant with its own dispersal point.

Lets hope the epa manages to have Co2 made illegal then because of the destruction of the rain forest and general worldwide deforestation the only plant left that can filter out Co2 as efficiently as forests and the only one that grows fast enough to actually be able to take the place of forests is hemp... So lets all campaign against Co2 and demand they legalize cannabis to fight its insidious nature :weed:

how many 2l bottles would I need for a 10x7x7 room? I'm guessing 3 or 4, but I've got 2 running just in case
I run 4 in a 3'x6'x6' and it works nicely. I run 2 in my veg room that's 3'x4'x6' and my plants are growing hella nicely. Huge leafs and nice strong stems.

hi I just wanted to share my take on this, i plan to make one more as I have another twin bubble air lock.
as you can see my small dimensions, the two should be adequate, right?

Looks good. 2 should b adequate. What r ur temperatures like? C02 absorbs better when temps are increased. The CFLs would not do much to warm ur room like a HID, but who knows u may live in a warm climate anyway?

Hey guys I have a possible dumb question... do I absolutely need a "twin bubbler" to make one of these? If so what does it do?

Please read into this question as I have seen it sooo many times lol The only point of a twin lock is to allow you to check the pressure of the bottles Co2 it emits. Not a dumb question though. I use air hoses and it works great. To check to see if I need to refill them I just take a glass half full of water and shake my bottles while sticking the tube into the water, if it bubbles it's still working properly, if it only does a small amount of bubbles (less than 1 per minute) then I know it's time to change my mixture. Hope this helps man I love this system Ninja

After a week I Just give the bottle a shake. If it real foamy its good if not I add sugar. Its not a big deal.

Some people can't really afford a bunch of sugar and yeast so if anyone here has a Winco Food Co. near them you should go check out the bulk section for yeast and white sugar. I just conserve on everything I can and when I run like 11 bottles at a time I gotta make sure not to have too much waste.

Hey sir. hows it going. i just bought the green pad co2 generators. i heard of them in a skunk magazine article. they are these white pads about ten inches wide and about a foot and a half long. you mist them with water and hang them up in your grow area. the humidity makes the pads release co2. i was wondering if you heard of them and if they are anygood. because i just spent 35 bucks on five of them. you are supposed to change them every week.

No offense Ninja, but you don't know anything about fermentation. This will create the most minuscule amount of CO2 and frankly this should not be a sticky.
