common sense goes a long way. i think the OP just wants the watercooled just to have it. in THAT case.....i would go with the mini fridge and shitloads of coils!!

I have a similar problem with high summer temps, and only just found out about the water cooled heat exchangers. I only have a small grow and am going to use a 1/4 HP aquarium chiller to chill my 100 litre nutrient tank (flood and drain) and I am going to also use this chilled nutrient to run an ice box for my intake air, If it can drop my intake temperatures then my existing air cooled system should be able to cope with the summer temps (with less power draw and noise than even the smallest available aircon). OP, I have seen a lot of people modify chest freezers for home brewing where they run large coils through them to cool down hot wort, So I would look at some home brewing sites for more info on that type of chiller set-up.

I'm going to bring his thread back to life. Fucking sweet info here...the problem is, I'm retarded and still don't understand a few things.

I grow in soil, so I don't need to chill a nute rez, just my 5x5 gorilla tent. I'm running LED so I can't just cool the hoods. I'm assuming a 1/10 hp chiller, with the icebox fan thing and a submersible pump(maybe 550 gallons/hour) are all I'll need? Maybe a 20 gallon tank for the water?

If there is something I'm missing, or if there is a cheaper DIY I can use(please be specific with diagrams if possible as, again, I'm retarded) please set me straight. This tent will be fired up in a couple weeks, so I've got about 2-3 months before the first flower in there. That's really when I'm worried about the heat getting a bit crazy. Thanks in advance to all that offer advice! Peace ✌
