I just bought a 100 watt preassembled unit and LOVE it. The build is quality in the every way. Not only that, the folks over there are so nice and helpful. I won't get into my whole story here, but let's just say Dan's customer service matches his quality products!

You dont need grow pics/results from just Timber lights. Timber utilizes the same tech other companies (and more often than not DIY'ers) do. Their efficiency and components are the same as many documented grows. Check out some of those.

Can check my sig for my journal. I have the 300w 4 cob kit. Grow is not finished yet, only about half way through flower but I have no complaints. Buds are thick and full of trichomes would recommend for sure..

I'm making a decision on my timber light today and I have one question.

Please keep in mind I think too much hence the avatar..

I have a 24" x 24" space. What's the smallest size square fixture I can get without sacrificing coverage on a scrog canapy at 12" above. The screen will be 20" x 20".

Without creating a huge hotspot...

In so far as growing is concerned, it's one of if not the most important consideration. That said, how much of a difference is a couple of inches going to make anyway? I'm just looking for a consensus from those more experienced than I am.

Yes that's the direction I'm going however I have other considerations for the small space and I'm wondering if it could be, for instance, 15" x 15" or 13" x 13" without sacrificing light spread or creating hot spots at a distance of 12" above the screen. I have a fan filter combo that can't be outside the box and need space for that too. I'd like to be able to bring the light up as far as possible so that's the reason for the question. Thanks!

How much vertical space are you working with? My 3x3 is 6ft tall but with the plant I have in there now I could have gone way more compact. If you have room to work with, add the height of your filter setup on top of where you want your lights to sit at max height + a couple inches. You could DIY yourself a frame that would hold your lights and fan/filter as one unit or a couple smaller 2cob bars to fit on either side of the filter...I'm not sure how else to get the lights up higher than the filter in a square box.

Well, I think it's just that I need to construct the light in such a way that it takes the fan/filter into account is all. As I've sketched it out, it looks like I've got about 16" of horizontal space at the very top of the box. I think the heatsinks are about 3" tall but I'm not going to get the fixture up to the top of the box. From the bottom of the fan filter I've got about 19" of space to work to the screen which should be plenty of grow room. I don't think each bud will get to 10" tall so again....I'm probably just overthinking it.

I wanted to to get the best light that I could for my ladies. Facing sky high electric and constant heat issues, a COB set up was clearly the best choice for me. Also, I wanted high quality, cutting edge stuff. I wasn't too excited about DIY, so the framework option gave me a turn-key solution.

Very happy with my 400w vero 29 framework from timber grow lights. As shown below, it came with very large sst-x heatsinks from northern grow lights. Super stoked about that, so shout out to robincnn

TGL answered all my noob questions, packed it unassembled to save me a chunk on shipping, and provided me with custom 10 foot leads for remote driver mount.

Here she is, Day 49F and 1st day under sweet COBs, this replaced a $140 roleandro 2nd gen "600w" panel. (that panel sold fast for $110 on CL the next day)

it might be a little over powered for my one lady in a 3x3, so far so good.

I highly recommend Timber Grow Lights... top shelf gear with top notch service. Can't go wrong.

Thanks for reading this.

I just completed a Timber kit using citizens. I'm not much of a builder but the light came out awesome anyway! Fantastic kit. It is not hung yet, will post pics when it is (waiting for tent to arrive). I built it as a 42" linear framework like the one on the Timber site. Will likely add another soon.
