DIY with Quantum Boards

Suggestions on a lay out of 4 QBs in a 4x4 tent ... running 2 in series on a HLG-240h-c2100 x 2. I've seen pics of 2 boards per frame placed parallel to each other. Just curious as to thoughts on crisscrossing the frames. Either way, suggested spacing between boards, again for a 4x4. Thanks

The way you have seen them hung up is perfect for even light spread in a 4x4 and 500w is plenty.
If you think you need better light spread and want to run the boards at a lower power setting and say 12-18inch of the canopy run 6 x boards soft.

Power cord for Kits
5-15P is the popular 110-120V NA Plug and comes standard with Kits.
Anyone wants Nema 6-15P option for 220V ?

Hi Robin, I saw the growmau5's vid you, very informative. You said that the S6 bin add 4 or 5 percent efficiency. Didn't you say that the voltage drop add a few percent to the efficiency?

Say you want to run the drivers outside of your room, where do you get the cable to extend the neg/pos on the boards to the drivers ? isn't there a "two in one wire " or something ? I'm probably not using the right terminology for this stuff but basically I want a insulated wire that has 2 more insulated wires inside ?

I get 18 gauge twin lead at a hardware store, I'm using that now as I dislike the solid wire especially in the tent, twin lead much easier to work with and works with WAGO connectors just fine. I jumper to the board from the wago with solid wire as the connectors on the board doesn't like to release stranded wire.
