It's been a min and I've been super busy getting my house ready to put on the market but it's just about finished! Just finished bracing on the frame for mounting today. Full pulls 1100 watts at the wall and can dim down to 400. Definitely not going to run it at full power way too much light lolView attachment 3997887 View attachment 3997888

I'm not running mine till I have a direct answer. Can does not equate to should. I'd like clarification.

Says right in the product description "Can be powered from 10 to 60 watts. Ideal for use as supplement light, veg light or for small plants.No Thermal Interface Material or heatsink is required."

I been having to manually visit and check for new alerts.

the news of a new smaller board i never saw till now.

I like the 3500k as an all around so I don't need two sets of lights.
You can supplement with some 4000k for veg and 2700k for flower if you want to get fancy.
See several QB light set ups with added red diodes as supplement and wondered if anyone
has increased yield and/or bud size to support the addition to a 3000k or 3500k QB ?

I grow some small strains of autos. Thinking of putting a steel shelving unit in a tent and lining them with QB120 for a vertical grow. Just might be a future project!

Final home for this one will be the breeding cab. Think I'm going to use 2 on the 60 watt driver

Loving what these boards are doing to my plants. 3000k on all 4x 250w boards. Boards are dimmed all the way on an A driver due to ambient temps being high.

no problem, still learning all this stuff myself.. the voltage of your outlet (110V/120V in the US) isn't really relevant in this case. the meanwell drivers have a wide input voltage range (90V-305V), meaning you can plug them into a normal 110V/120V outlet or a 220V/240V outlet, doesn't make much difference (see here). I was referring to the voltage of the boards themselves, as well as the voltage rating of the connectors on the boards... I'm starting to understand all this, but I'm sure someone else can do a better job of explaining it (@robincnn ? @Stephenj37826 ?) ... as far as whether to get a 260W kit with QB304 or QB288, I think since the 260W kit has only 2 boards, either will work, since you can run 2 boards in series either way.. and yes afaik the kits are complete with all you need...
The 304's a tad more efficient than the 288. But both produce the same wattage

Not if it's solid QB. They're about 1'x0.5', so two of them cover a sq ft. Of course it would cost you about $150 /sq ft but let's just say price is not a concern. I guess the LEDs only put out about 30 lm each so you'd need about 250 for a square foot, so one QB per sq ft would be about right, with 304 LEDs. Okay never mind the test then, probably irrelevant. However, trying to light more than one sq ft with a QB would seem inadvisable, at least at their normal current. What's 304 x 30 lm? About 9000, slightly more than what one sq ft would need, which is 7000-7500 lm. No matter how you try to position them, you could never get more than 9000 lm out of a QB could you? Let's be generous and say a QB could cover 2 sq ft, at reduced intensity. That's not even 2'x2', more like 1.5'x1.5'.
Idk about all that... What got ME wanting one, was seeing a friend pull over a quarter pound of lower yielding gsc, out of a 30" x 24" homemade "tent" (just a rectangle walled off with mylar), with a single qb288. Doubt if you like... reality is reality. And in reality, a single qb288 can EASILY flower out a 2x2 space. From my limited experience, ~ 14" away seems to be the sweet spot for flowering. Go ahead and pack a qb288 every square foot... unless you have them dimmed WAAAY down, or have em raised to the ceiling, get ready for some cooked cannabis. Anybody thats ever actually USED LED's knows that you need LESS wattage per square foot - not more. Thats the beauty of having such a cool running light. You can drop them down much closer than HID's & drastically increase the PAR wattage actually reaching your plants. 30-35watts/ft2 is FINE with these quantum boards. Less in early stages, of course. You seem to be suggesting that a 135watt qb288 would be required every square foot. Anybody else think that 135watts/ft2 is required - or even ADVISED? Because Iv personally seen a SINGLE qb288 absolutely rocking a 4ft2 tent.
