DIY with Quantum Boards

The drivers always get warm, I remote mounted mine on standoffs to keep them cool. Not having the warm driver in the grow space helps to maintain temps better.

What do you mean by remote mounted? Can you give a little more detail on your driver set up? Thanks!

If its really loud like a ballast maybe contact the supplier, both a ballast and driver are constant current source so i could see a driver making 60 cycle hum or electronic noise but i cant imagine one sounding as loud as a ballast

View attachment 4028138 Just got my first of three hlg kits, this is the 135 and I've got 2x 260 xl kits on the way. Plants seem to love it. my plan is to hang all three kits in this 4x4 tent.
Holy moly that'll be 655 watts in a 4x4.

What color did you get your lights?

And what is the purpose of the XL board for 2 qbs? Is it possible to put in another qb between the 2 on the same driver?

oh yeah because more is better!!
I liked the spred of the 5 board layout with 3000k,also heard that QB's are weaker in the corner so I figured there's one in each corner and one blazing down the middle who knows might be sweet! all else fails 655 watts to back me up hahaha
I'm really stoked to start this next run with them.

That's definitely not going to suffer for a lack of light.

Awesome dude.
Well I have 2 of the 320w XL kits coming.
So, I'll have 6x 288 QBs in my 4x4 tent.
A 2700k kit and a 4000k kit for total of 640w.

Not too far behind ya!

Yeah i think that'll work too hahaha I like the idea of the 2700 and 4000 blend.
And the qb 288 will work with the upcoming chilled connect diy system. I really hope hlg Gets behind that idea.
Diy for EVERYONE

Make it sound like there 4 times ahead of the competition, i would love to know what type of ceramic substrate theyll try to convince us is a better thermal conductor then a metallic one
