what is the difference between the:

260w "XW"

and

260w "QB"

just the color of the slate?

the xw is with a heatsink wide enough to fit 3 quantum boards.

so if you want to add a 3rd board you can.

or with just the 2 qb's it offers wider spacing

there is

XL- is two boards spaced

QB-just two boards side by side

Xw is 2 boards spaced out and turned 90 degrees.

heheheh yes I do. I use it for seed production. I grow in 4" pots and grow budsicles lol. I'm taking out this QB288 and putting in the QB 120's

I've got an extra QB 120 after my upgrade, I'd like to try a smaller cabinet.

On dimming, why wouldn't a 50k, 1/4 watt resistor give you 50% dimming? I tried it and the boards won't even light when I connect it across the dimming leads

So my potentiometers came in today and they look like the one in the picture with another set of prong things right under neath it. Are these ok to use?

I've never grown for bud in there, just seed plants. I have a plant in the now though that I might scrog, she's only in a 1 quart pot...lol

The plants I'm growing under my QB lights are my own strain

It's only for the built light fixtures. Like the HLG 550. The kits are not part of the discount

so...anyone think this wiring job makes sense?

I have 2 - QB304 boards and 1 - QB288

The 304s are ran in parallel and then the 288 is added in series.
