That's PPF(total net. flux), if you use it in a 4x 4' tent, which is around 1,45m² you get ~800PPFD

I think that's too big a risk to take. It's bad enough growing at home but stealing electricity/re-wiring is what's likely to get people caught.

Earlier in the eighties it is less of a problem, but today energy utilities are scrutinizing much more where they are lose power.

Yeah I agree.....I think now though stealing electricity is seen as a bigger crime than growing a few plants for personal use. 3 plants, for example, won't get much of a punishment whereas stealing the power might make the difference between community service and prison. Just not worth it

All the meters are digital now. They know what grids are using more electricity than the meters are reporting now. It's simply a matter of manpower resources to hunt it down.

Good way to get yourself caught, they can detect that kind of diversion, and with smart meters, it doesn't work at all. And don't be stealing shit when your already growing illegally, why ask for more trouble?

The meter man reported me for a couple of lead tags missing on the meter box and an engineer came out to inspect to see if I was stealing electric lol.

In the UK they are starting to roll out "Smart" meters....they can probably tell what you had for dinner and when you flush the toilet lol

Da's love it when some fool does this. they will throw out the lesser charges in a plea deal to stick you with a higher sentence for growing,etc.

In most places in America the penalties for stealing power are a lot worse than those for growing. No one has to steal to grow. With new LED tech, you can grow a lot more per watt so it's even less reward for the risk of stealing.
