I thought it would be awesome to start a thread where we can all post up what we recycle throughout our house to modify or better your garden. Hopefully this will become a big thread full of ideas. So if u have a thought or even better results and pics to show what u used to make what. Now flaunt ur ghetto creativity with pride.. Ill go first.

I made a tent

meanwhile recycling a bed two fans mylar ducting a squirrel cage fan found in a scrap pile as well as a few odds and ends

First (obviously) we built the frame. The wood was slats from the frame of a sleigh bed measuring 5ft 1inch making work easy. I had 14 boards to work with. I cut 4 in half and built a 5'1"x 2'5 1/2x5'1" rectangle (x2) I then connected them with four full length uprights in the corners 2 half lengths across the top for stability and lighting one half across each side. For more stability. I then took panda film cut it to length then ran duct tape along all edges halved over stretched them tight and stapled them to the frame then again on the outside then used duct tape to cover the seams helping keep light wheere it should be and cleaning up the look. Then I ran my ducting. I traced my ducting onto the plastic where I needed it I then taped around the circle and cut it out then again took tape and folded it over the edges bonding the two sides and preventing the ducting from stretching and tearing the plastic.

Then I mounted my squirrel fan this was kinda a pita as I didn't have the fan to measure so I had to take. The blade cover off a broken oscilating fan and puched out the center. Ran my ducting throught the hole (dome of cover up) and hooked it to the fan then set the fan on the cover.

I then took my intake and exhaust ducting and ran them to a non working window fan modified to receive the ducting for camoflauge. From inside it looks obvious outside just looks like a fan in the window.

I still need the wood for a door so until then it will be a piece of plastic stretched and taped.
