Do I keep my seedlings to far from T8

Ok so here's the light I use for seedlings and small clones. Its a 15w UVB T8 for a reptile cage. I use the hand test to see what's bareable and I keep em a little lower but it seems like these UVB bulbs do noticeably pump UVB rays because the small CFLS wouldn't push this much heat CONTAINED IN the light and when I used them I had them nearly touching leafs. Are the UVBs not a good choice when it comes to heat and lighting for seedlings.

Call me paranoid but I don't upload pics from my phone.

Also, I use the regular T-5's and get them a couple of inches away. If they touch the lamp they may get burned but never had a problem.

Hmmm my seedlings do fine receiving full sunlight from birth.......
As long as temps are in the mid 80's or under and you stay below 10k lumens per sqft you'll be good...
