do plants like it

when there is shade over it but still heat
and is this why my plant is slowly growing they are only 4 leafs in and two 4 inches tall
and two weeks old

SHADE, as in in-direct light sure beats no light. Particial shade is normal, and can save a plant from extreme heat & light, like in Texas. Of course, the more light the better, but it's not a hard & fast rule. This gives your plants time to build bigger rooting systems, allowing faster intake/faster growth.
