Do Those Blue Grow Lights Work?

Hey i saw these blue grow lights and i was wondering are they any good....any advice is good advice....thanks

Make and brand?? MH? Fluorescents?

im guessing LED?

The blue indoor plant lights from any ol'store? They work but are very hot. Tried em on my first grow and could not control the heat they put out, closet too small for em' and I had a fan blowing across the canopy at all times. My plants were cooked and then I returned the lamps and exchanged for cfls. Much better especially the daylight ones they are great for vegging.

A light that puts out so much heat has to be far away from the canopy and if the plants are young they end up having to stretch for the light. Cfls you can put 1 or 2 inches away and the plant does not stretch.

Just my experience with those lamps.
Take in other ppls responses and see what you decide from there.

Better to get one of the big outdoor fluorescents, either 100 or 150 watts. I've used them in a fix and they work great. Only cost about $80 a pop too.

this shit gets expensive....i thought it would be easy

i used that light for my 1st grow and my plants came out too long and skinny...looking to try again...one plant is still doing fine but i wanna start over and get better results....i need serious help tho
