What happens when I bone the sister or she turns me down? Do I continue to hang out with the brother? If I do, do I tell him I was only hanging out with him to get to his sister? Do I tell him I'm banging his sister?

I have a younger sister so I think I might have a useful perspective on this scenario. If I found out someone initially used me by playing friendly just to get closer to my sister, I would be pissed. If I found out that information years later, after a solid friendship had been established, I would likely feel completely opposite.

So you might be onto something there

Flirt with the mom, could lead to something good for both of you.

if you want the philosophical answer, then yes, its wrong.
the real world answer is yes its wrong, but everyone does it all day long, every day.
i don't like working 9 to 5, i can't deal with the pubic, so i sit in my cave and grow this weed.
other people really like this weed i grow. i picked 3 or 4 of them, and they come over and i sell them what i can't use myself, for right about half what they can get it for anywhere else. so i can sit in my cave and grow this weed, so i don't have to deal with people.
i'm using them to reach my goals, they're using me to reach some of their own, and i'm sure there are yet others using and being used by them once they leave here.
as long as no one is getting hurt and at least a few people are getting what they want....i guess its ok......?

I don't see how any one is being used in a mutually agreed upon transaction. Telling someone you have cancer so they will mow your lawn for free would be using them and wrong and should make the person feel icky inside, we probably all agree on that. What about using a political opponent to get what you want? Is all fair in politics? Seems to be accepted and part of the game, which is sorta sad. What about dating someone to make someone else jealous?

being used kind of indicates ignorance of the situation. again there are levels, everyone kind of knows they're being used by the government, their jobs, even their friends. but you might hope, at least at first, that this chick likes you because she likes you. if she tells you, "i'm going to bang you for a little while so i can get to this other guy." and you agree, then its ok.

It's always wrong to do anything at the expense of others. Having fun at the expense of others or con gaming people is just wrong. I'd rather suffer or take the knocks than play a game like that. It's simple really.
