Do you have any regrets?

Any regrets at all about becoming a legal MMJ patient. Problems with family, the law, etc. Any hunters out there? Hassled by the cops maybe? Problems with grows? Anything at all that made you wonder whether it was such a good idea.

I haven't got a card, but I know I could get one.

Great idea for a thread. I'd like to hear these stories and learn from them instead of learning from hard knocks.

I have no regrets at all, this will go down as a very memorable part of my life. I am part of history, part of a movement, a revolution. You will see when you become legal. From day 21 walking into my first legal MMJ compassion club coming out blazed as all hell its all so sureal at first - This is michigan? I thought it was holland without the bicycles, no this is america, freedom and liberty let it ring, don't pass up the chance to be a part of something great or you will regret to have no storys from this time in history.

Sure, In those hours that I have smoked a bit to much haze I have had those second thoughts and fears of 'the man' or what I could be getting myself into, is it all worth the risk? Well...Your damn right it is worth the very small risk....to live life to the fullest - to get a taste of freedom - to be a part of history - to be on the cutting edge of a new industry - a chance to live the american dream riding the wave of a new industry by its teeth - hell yea its worth it..every second of it, even those g13 haze induced paranoia momments when for a second I might consider to cut down my whole grow room in fear of persecution...living with fear it gets you no where, to deny the opressors opression..its a good feeling, to be a part of a community that really cares about the people, a team that is is focused on a goal and not on politics, it sure is something you do not see much these days.

Well, I take that back, I do have some regrets about MMJ....Regrets that I did not become a part of this sooner, Regrets for the patients who suffered in the past without this program, regrets for the lives lost/ruined in this war on a plant, regrets michigan did not receive this new industry sooner we might of had a better economy and our childhoods might of been better because of it. Patients would of lived longer and happier lives and in some circumstances they would of lived instead of died if it wasnt for mr harry anslinger and his prohibition on maryjane.

but yea to answer you question without some sort of stoner rant like above:

No I have not had any problems - Infact it is quite the opposite - good vibes all around and great community if you so chose to be a part of it.

Infact let me tell you a little story....A few weeks backs I went to a caregiver/patient med exchange with 100's of other people in attendance.

Upon my arrival I see a bunch of cop cars, Ofcourse I am thinking 'oh shit'...I scope out the scene before heading in to the building reaking of marijuana right next to some cop cars - I see that the police are arresting a drunken gentlemen who is being violent and yelling out of control from the BAR next door. I laugh to myself and head into the smoke out...clearly illustrated before me the difference between drunks and stoners - the bar next door had only 1 patron drinking and it was this gentleman who became irate and got arrested while the 'smokeout' next door has thousands of people smokign out every week has never had problems with the police infact it only has good relations with the police, this place clearly labeled with a sign outside explaining what it is and has never had any issues with the police, thousands of stoners vs 1 drunk guy and the drunk guy gets arrested...

Well! Thanks for the responses. Seems like so far everybody is more than just OK with their MMJ card and everything. I would like to hear from more folks too.

I am a caregiver for my mom let me tell you it's been nothing but great things for her do to her medicine. I agree with deprave about this being something special in our lives that I can tell my kids about. I feel since learning about marijuana and all it's healing properties I can further teach others about what great things this plant has to offer. I have really enjoyed every minute of it when not change a thing.
