wow i feel dumb. its not even my first grow. should you cover the planted germinated seeds like clones?
do you have to cover sprouts?

No need to cover the seedlings. One of the reasons for covering clones is to hold in moisture, since a clone has no roots n the beginning to take water to the rest of the plant, it must be absorbed through the leaves. a seedling however, will be growing roots first thing, so no need to cover.
