Do you know what's wrong ?

My plants (X6) are midway through the second week of growing almost 3 weeks in. All has been growing well so far other than a little overheating problem I had a couple days ago that I have since corrected. ( The leaves were curling up slightly... I raised the lights about 1" inch higher added a small fan. The leaves are no longer curling. ) However this morning I noticed a small yellow spot that almost looks like a burn in the middle of a leave. Only on one plant and on no other leaves.

A bit about my grow... 24"X24"X24" box tinfoiled on the walls, white plastic bag on bottom/floor. Under 24hr lights. Lights are roughly 8" inches from top of plant. Small 10" inch fan above them. Temperature is at 29c & humidity is at 40%. Im using two CFL lights, 40W / 2450 lumes EACH. I water every 2 or 3 days depending on how dry the soil looks. As for the soil itself I used Pro-Mix Premium Organic Vegetables & Herb mix.

Tinfoil isn't the best... Try and get your hands on a roll of mylar... The spot could just be a burn from when the light was too close. Or it could be a cal/mag issue... Post us up a pic and maybe someone can help you out more.

Yes I agree, I think it is a light burn from being to close and misting the leaves when I watered them. Also I removed the tinfoil today and put in a 10" fan to help the air circulation. The temperature is at 29c & humidity at 50%.

Dude.. They look great. Don't over water them. But they look healthy.. GL with the grow man!
Much thanks I'll keep everyone updated as I'm moving along. Next batch I'm going to use coco coir and seaweed extract to see how that goes...along with auto fem seeds. This is my first try and the seeds came off some gorilla glue I got. Fingers crossed their female...still trying to figure that out lol.

Thanks again.

It seemed to have gotten worse. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a nitrogen deficiency. I don't over water, every two or three days as needed. The lights are 8" to 10" away from the top of the plants. I'm wondering if it's time to transplant them or add seaweed extract to the water. I have a pH meter coming in the mail hopefully that helps. As for now, I boil my water then put it into a glass jar and wait til it's the same temperature as the grow room and use it when they need to be watered. I included a picture of what it looks like today 3 days later.

Lose the foil. Order some space blankets. They're cheap as hell, pure mylar, and reflect 99% of all light. I promise you'll see a HUGE difference.

Yeah, I know what's wrong. Too hot outside, prices are through the cellar, only got one wrap left, need day laborer's etc. But 'How you doin'. ;-)

Already did that my dude. I changed it over 4 days ago but the yellowing has gotten worse. The bottom two leaves (not the feeder leaves) are turning yellow. I think it may be a nitrogen deficiency.

Tried any magnesium yet?

Seaweed foliar now.. max 2 times a week. Causes elongation if over used up top.

pH out of spec maybe.

Added any bene's to the soil yet?

I haven't added anything to the soil yet. They're in the tail end of week 3 so I felt it doesn't need any fertilizers yet. However I am not feeling wrong... Yesterday I order seaweed extract and that should arrive within the next few days.

Have I added any bene's? What is ? As for magnesium, I'm not even sure what to type of product to look for. I've seen things on the web but still learning.

#green #newb #mybad LOL

Bene's= beneficial bacteria and myco.

Magnesium = magnesium sulfate aka Epsom salt.

3 weeks is pushing it for food IMO. Hot soil lasts 3-4 weeks max.
I feed @ 10 days 14 max. You go by what those plants are saying not what website a, b, c says.

What are you going to feed them nute wise out of curiosity.

Reading/Research is fundamental. :-)

I'm going to repot Because it could use more space. I included a picture to show. Also I'm going to get kelp fertilizer or seaweed extract. Which would you recommend ?

Ah yeah, repot that asap (when seaweed arrives, it reduces shock), it's circling the pot real good. Make sure to gently loosen the ball up and get some tips free to expand or it will still circle the same size in the bigger pot.

Seaweed/kelp is more of a booster than a fertilizer. At best it's 0-0-17, more like 0-0-1. It contains natural PGR's. Auxins and cytokinins etc. Like a tonic.

Going organic or synthetics?

I'm going strictly organic.
Thank you for explaining it makes much more sense.

I use Gaja green stuff for my organic grows.. sea kelp powder (add to water) 5ml per liter and use as spray after the first few sets of leaves start and do weekly in veg until week 1 bloom.1 cup 4-4-4 all purpose (use large tea bag) and a few table spoons molasses into 15 liters of water aerate for 24hrs (or shake up occasionally) 1 once a week. then 3 or for days later fish fertilizer mixed with water (start slowish then see how much the plant can take, every week add a little more) should keep em strong.
