i just started using hempy buckets. in my plants in coco i use a tea about once a month with mychorizae, lactobacillus, trichoderma, etc. with a big spoon full of molasses to feed it. would this be a good idea in hempys or would i just be asking for a bucket full of weird spores, mold and fungi?

I don't see why you would have an issue. But growing in coco I would think you'd need more than a tea once a month for the plant to get its nutrition.

When I did hempy I was using GH Trio with extras. Mixing nutes once a week for the week...I don't know how things would go without hydro nutes.

Just my .02

sorry if i wasn't clear, the tea is in addition to the regular regimen of nutes (Vegamatrix), just to keep my roots good and healthy

i'm leaning the same way, i like the effect the tea has on plants in soil and coco, but i'm thinking the hempys provide a fine environment to begin with.

since the hempys get pretty warm (low 80's F), i thought the sterile route would be better. i just harvested 3 plants and the root mass on each one was nice, white and healthy using chlorine so i'm sticking with it.

HTH pool shock is what i use
