Does anyone here make their own feminised seeds?

What methods do you use?

I've just recently managed to source the materials in order to start feminized seeding, I'm curious what others here do.

I also recently sourced the materials. I'm using sterling silver, 3 9v batteries w/ alligator clips. I plan on spraying one branch on each of my 5 strains and when sacs start to show I'll cut the branch and quarantine it to finish in my DIY aerocloner. To pollinate I will carefully brush pollen on select branches/buds (hopefully around week 3 or 3 1/2) then staple a paper bag over the branch for 4-5 days to prevent unwanted pollination. Hopefully it all works out to plan!!

feminised seeds are for fools who dont understand that nature does a far better job percentage wise for females...

for the ones who need help (:(:

why?
regular seeds produce a better female as everyone knows.
Fem seeds are for people who think other strains are better....and listen to hype. This way they can try the strain and know that's its gonna be a female?
Its BS...

Fem seeds herm regularly. Known fact..
A Bad Trait. and why most do not buy them...

get out the Colloidal silver folks..

Such negativity ... I've been doing it for years and yes, hermies can come out of it, but methinks many of the hermie tales you hear about were not so much caused by feminized seeds but rather light leak and dark cycle interruption

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ... What I am doing works for me quite nicely

How bout you do you and I'll do me and leave it at that ... I'm not really interested in your opinion let alone I don't need to explain 'why' I do things, what is important is it works for me and someone else may be able to use what I do to help with their system

Incorrect. colloidal silver does not introduce hermie into genetics and that's 100% a fact. Also, when you pollinate a female plant with it's own pollen you get almost a 100% clone of the mother, so it's actually better because you can guarantee yourself great genetics if that's what you start with. aka create seeds of a "clone only" strain

Colloidal Silver works by being composed of particles so small, that they can easily pass through the plants cells. Once the Colloidal Silver particles are in the plant, they bond to the existing copper molecules. Normal female cannabis plants, use these copper molecules to produce the hormone Ethylene, which is what "tells" them that they are supposed to make normal female flowers (calyxes with pistils). When the Colloidal Silver bonds with the copper molecules, this is inhibited and the plant instead produces pollen sacs.
*Note: These are still female flowers. Just female pollen sacs. Not male flowers.

if you got hermies out of it, it was either by stress or was already present in the genetics. colloidal silver 100% will not introduce hermie tendencies in to the genetics, because colloidal silver is not causing the plant to hermie. the plant is still female but is producing female pollen sacks, see above post

some people will create feminized seeds by not harvesting their plant and allowing it to go way past maturation causing it to hermie or by otherwise stressing the plant. may be how they originally got a bad reputation. this is the wrong way to make feminized seeds.

The post above I made has a link to the thread where I explain how I do my feminization. You can force a hermie through screwing with the light cycle which is exactly what I do ... no coloidal silver required

As for the hermies I have had, each were purposefully created except for in the case of the Barny's Farm incident of 2012 .. see other thread for explanation

And as I alluded in the other thread, any of my crosses that have genetics from Barny's Farm hermie faster than the other strains I have feminized, but this is a specific use case and has no bearing on a properly set up flowering chamber. The TP and the PHP both don't hermie when grown in a properly vented and darkened flower room ... the times they were purposefully hermied, using light cycle manipulation, was for the purpose of producing feminized seeds, a specific use case as stated above

Anyways, I go further in depth in the other thread ... take a read

5 years feminizing and have learned a fair bit through a lot of trial and error ... the method I use now works for me and if you set up your grow properly, with no light leak, proper venting and humidity controls as well as airflow and proper feeding/watering regimes you will have no problem with hermies unless you started with junk genetics in the first place

To say otherwise would be uncivilized

You are so full of shit, it's coming out of your ears dude!
Ya eh..

Prove me wrong .........dude,,,,,(:

most people have no clue they have herms even when they are finished...
You wouldn't know unless you've made tons of oil over the last 30 years..
ya see them seeds plain as day from herb that is..... PURE?.... hahahaha ya sure it is..
like strains now a day :wall:
Pure as the last hundred muts that have been bread with them...:eyesmoke:

next

its all Standardbred now a day
there aint no thoroughbreds anymore lol..

One way I've gotten some seeds which all have been female I had a plant a week into flower and it literally snapped in the middle I used some green masking tape to try and save it well a week later its growing again then another week it shows some balls and pistils well I left it to grow I never took the tape off and where it snapped was super skinny from the tape being left on the rest of the stalk go fat as Fuck it did self pollinate itself and all the seeds are females and I've done about 25 of the seeds the strain was a nirvana blue mystic and all the seeds are definitely strong and potent

Its not the tape man I was just saying it got stressed from snapping and so far all female seeds I just wrapped it with tape to hold it together why would tape make you get fem seeds??
