Does running your lights at night save on your electric bill?

No, it helps you with high heat issues, since the ambient air temp. is lower at night.

actually, you will be saving money when running at night..... soon.
most of my area is being upgraded to new 'smart meters', that replace the existing electricity meters outside our homes. The new smart meters not only measure what your consumption is, but when you consume it. They will be coming out with reduced rates, for off peak hours, so, running lights at night will be cheaper than running them during the day.
