Does size matter?

Is there any significant difference in the size of tree... crop yield...etc...using 2 gal vs.3.5 gal pots in a flow and grow setup...I'm in a 12 x16ft room minus a few feet wide walkway down the middle...(6) 630w cmh...Just trying to get an idea how to maximize my grow area...Thinking 36 - 48 depending on pot size.

Ahhhhh you don't believe me ?
Size does matter . But in this case not . But if you don't listen I can't help .
One more time .
You can grow a 10 footer in a 2 gallon pot if you have the room.
In your case in a 10 x 16 8 ft cieling room you will not fit 36 - 48 10 ft plants .
In hydro the plants are feeding off a nutrient solution not root mass and pot size . Yield is not effected by pot size. Skill matters.
You will need to flip these plants at no more than 2 ft or you will out grow your room in this type of system very easily. You can get the bigger bucket system but to me the cost is not worth it.
I ebayed the cap buckets only and they come with all the plumbing and then ebayed the Agua controllers as they are a better product.
Did you read that thread I posted ? Everything you need to know is in there.

I love this system . It is comparable to DWC with out the chillers or root rot BS . The only down fall if any is resetting and cleaning your medium which if you use bigger buckets you will have more of .

Container circumference is related to the circumference of an untrained plant , but not the height.
try it, veg and flower a plant in a dixie cup next to another in a one gallon container next to one in a 5 gallon pail you'll see.

If what you are saying is pot size is relevant to plant circumference this is true in soil . All so it is relevant to height all so . A plant in too small of a pot will stretch.
This is not the case in hydro where nutrient uptake is direct to the root system. You don't need a large root system. Take a look at Rock wool grows .
If you are running 36 pots in a 10 x 12:space at most the plant sites are centered at 2 ft . More like a 1 1/2 ft . Circumference will become a issue as is in over crowding .

Here's a 4 week vegg flipped a couple of days ago . By week 3 of flower it will be a solid canopy .
Two gallon pots .

100% agree.
this one is in a one gallon grow bag, hydro

what about a scrog. basically i have a 12by16 ft with appx 7 ft ht, area to work with that im going to start with then try to divide it up so i can veg and flower seperate. Im going to put a few feet to the side for storage etc. and utilize a 12by12 with 2 rows with a few feet in between for walking room. So i figure each row will be around 4.5 wide and 12 long. I have read plenty on the different types of training but keep getting confused on what type would get me the most yield for my area. I read to just top them a few times and keep them trimmed, someone else said grow less plants but scrog them another said to hst which to me seems like a scrogg....lol....im going to be getting some kryptonite, super silver haze and AK-47, either all of the same or mixed depending on what they end of up having. only going to be running i reservoir

That's basically the same size room I have . Scrogging. Is good and productive but takes more time and electricity but cuts down on a plant count . For me sog or a higher plant count is the same but with sooner harvest . Run your pots about a foot and a half apart or 9 sites under a light and half way fill your space and flip them and the rest fills in solid green .
