Frankly, if they're willing to risk their lives to walk across a desert for a better life, maybe they're the kind of people we WANT here?

Can we deport our stupid, lazy, racist, backward motherfuckers instead? Just round them up from their 'white rights' rallies and shove them right through the turnstiles to Tijuana! Mexico can put them to work for pesos a day building a wall to keep US out!
By your logic would we not get even better people here if we increased the risk of death? Maybe a big mine field? Snipers?

Sorry, not following you. I'd prefer to minimize needless death in our immigration process.

The point I'm making is that these people are willing to risk their lives for a chance at a better life, which tends to make them highly motivated to build one when they get here. Far more motivated than the Dylan Roofs of this country.

No, of course I don't want to see them dying by the hundreds in the desert, either. But a wall is not the answer.

You think someone will figure out a couple tall ladders is all you need? LOL

I'm with you on the need for a wall, but wondering if it would reduce these senseless deaths. I think it could decrease over land death but not sure how much. I think water deaths would go up, but also not sure by how much.

I have a better idea; how about we stop subsidizing their drug war and start helping Mexico become a better country for its citizens? It can't cost any more than the current situation and it will definitely save lives.

It is a 3 mile piece of wall, it won't stop anything. You could just walk around it.
