He was going to win, something either real or imagined happened in regards to his kids wedding and he quit the campaign then he came back in. By that time he lost momentum.

I think he got blackmailed on something

I do remember him quitting the campaign and coming back in. And i liked him enough to vote for him but I couldn't remember why he quit. I will google some info and refresh my memory.
