dont think i flushed properly need advice

hi guys, i have just recently harvested my plants and 2 out of 5 in my TFT tank dont seemed to have flushed properly,the other 3 are smoking fine but the 2 closest to the water outtake smell wrong i have been drying for about 3 days and they are still not dry but i dried some and you can tell it has not flushed the way the others have, is there anything i can do to make it taste better?? any advice would be great. :-|

time will help it smooth out as more plant structures dry out they are converted to sugar, if you dry to fast , the plant structures are converted to HAY

ok thanks for the reply but you can still smell the chemicals and i think even in a few weeks you will still be able to tell it hasnt flushed properly, do you know about water curing??? could this help?

i've never water cured but that's what i was thinking in your case. there are people here who know. help is on it's way.

yeah ive read videomans post on water curing enough times and going to try it on some of the bud, dont know if i should do it all...

the 5 plants have been harvest already 3 of them 10 days ago and had been flushed with plain water for at least 14 days drying fine as ive had a little taster and the last 2 i left another week to be ready so i thought it was plenty of time to get the nutes out, but in my tray these 2 plants were near the water out take and dont think were getting enough of the plain water... this is why i think they havent been flushed. they have been drying for 4 days and i tried some to taste ;) but was soon disappointed. this is why needed advice

when you water with plain water all you are trying to do is remove some salts from the soil i try and flush once a week at least !

After 4 days your plants are still Green man!

I have just water cured some of my bud using videomans method, after 7 days i removed from the water and dried on a radiator for about 5 hours, it all seems ok........ got me high!! taste was alot better than when it went in, no chemical taste (Thanks videoman!).

I will say that this method is not for the commercial grower, the weed looked dark and not to appealing also i dont think it was any stronger than normal as stated in Videomans post.

I still have some dry curing too which will be ready in a week or so....hoping this will be better than it was when it started.

Glad you liked it upinsmoke, do you think the radiator damaged the weed? That sounds risky to me, heat degrades thc.
I would have hung it for 2 days to dry, but thats just me.

Im confused was this a soil grow? I grow aero and use 2 weeks straight water in the res and it flushes fine.Just curious as you say chemical taste and dont know what that means.Your rushing the dry and cure for sure hang dry it with fans in dark area for at least a week then cure for 2-4 weeks in jars then its ready to smoke, a radiator 5 hour dry probably ruined it

i use TFT grow system and did also flush with plain water for 2 weeks before harvest but for some reason the 2 plants nearest the water outlet seemed to have a chemical smell so i presumed that there was a problem with the flush, so i used videomans water curing method, which worked ok, you should read it then you will understand what i did. i am also dry curing in the 4 week now.

Hey videoman, i must have read you post wrong (even tho i read like 100 times lol) im sure it said you can dry quick once you remove it from the water, oh well .....it was better after the water cure, i dont think the radiator damaged it, as i still got high :joint: i did have it on very low and was maybe longer than 5 hours but this was my first time water curing so learnt more for next time, i still got some dry curing...... so going to see if there is a difference when that is finished. Thanks again
