so... today i got my seeds from the attitude. super lemon haze + free thai super skunk. just started them germinating tonight. i already have some snow white going. the snow white is from clones gotten from my friend on 1/10. (his closet is like a jungle and it smells beautiful, can't wait for the first harvest!)

i have 4 snow white plants in the first closet vegging under 400W HPS. the other closet has pots all ready to go. both closets are 4' x 2'. tomorrow i should be getting a second identical light and a bunch more mylar.:hump:

i was kinda mean to my original clones, made stupid mistakes, played with them a bunch 'cause i was excited. after i planted the first 2 clones i shut the closet door and neglected them overnight. i had not realized how much heat my light put off. :oops:when i opened the door in the morning a wave of hot air hit me and i was confronted with 2 plants laying flat. they struggled feebly for a few weeks then died.

thankfully i started with 12 so there was room for error. now the four live plants are of different sizes, but are all growing nicely.

i took 4 clones two weeks ago from the biggest plant (left side) into perlite/vermiculite + some sphagnum with holes cut in the bottom of each cup. a few days later i FIMed the same plant and used the leftovers to make 2 clones. i treated them similarly but only filled the cups halfway with my mix. i think they may not have drained as well this way. both clones started falling over althought they looked healthy. the stems had turned to mush from the soil level down.

oh well, the first 4 new clones are looking happy and putting out new leaves.

P.S. comments welcome

all but one of the super lemon haze seeds has germinated, and all but one of the thai x super skunk have germinated. the haze seedlings all broke ground yesterday, and the thai did last night. i am using peat pucks, keeping them in a dome under a compact fluorescent.

wow, these clones are doing much better than my first ones! when i popped them out of the cups on monday to plant them, the soilless mix was filled with roots and did not even crumble. now 3 weeks since i cut them.

still vegging the original plants.

last night my friend brought me his clones to babysit until his harvest is done and he is ready to plant again. i think they are 2-3 weeks old (cloned from his flowering plants). i opened the dome to spray them today and found evil-looking white fuzzies on two of the plants.

i have separated them from all the other plants and sprayed them with Garden Safe brand Houseplant & Garden Insect Killer. it is supposed to deal with various mites, and says "use up until day of harvest." the small print says harmful if swallowed...

i cut him two fresh clones tonight to replace the ones with mites just in case. i will be keeping a close eye out for a mite infestation.

i would include pics of the mite webs, but my camera only has crappy autofocus.

i planted my 7 seedlings about 10 hours ago. one of them had very hard and dry cotyledons that never unfolded properly. it has true leaves now, but is off to a slower start than the others. they all have true leaves now which are expanding quickly; most have their second pair of leaves opening too.

their closetmates the snow white clones are growing nicely.
